Cheney Speaks but His Words Contradicted by Polls

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Speaking to NBC News, former Vice President Dick Cheney looked into his crystal ball and predicted President Obama will be defeated for reelection in 2012.

Cheney opined:

“His overall approach to expanding the size of government, expanding the deficit, and giving more and more authority and power to the government over the private sector. Those are all weaknesses, as I look at Barack Obama. And I think he’ll be a one term President.”

But post-Tucson massacre polls suggest President Obama is surging among the all important Independents. Mr. Obama is up 15 points with Independent since last month.

In the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll finds President Obama’s approval rating up to 54%. His highest in more than a year.

And in the latest CNN/Opinion Research poll finds President Obama’s approval rating is up five points to 53% with “as a growing number of Americans think he’s a strong leader who is tough enough to handle a crisis.”

Perhaps, Mr. Cheney suffered the deleterious effects of oxygen deprivation during his recent heart procedure and can no longer distinguish fantasy from fact?

I wish the battery that keeps Cheney’s heart beating would misfire and this evil piece of neocon feces would drop dead.

Cheney is more destructive to national discord than Limbaugh and Palin combined. He’s a menace and he needs to slither off to Wyoming and shut his piehole.

  2. Woodcliffe says:

The spike in approval among independents is something Obama can take to the bank in 2012. If he can maintain it. I still hope Obama faces a primary challenger in 2012. The challenger won’t prevail but it will help make the president aware that not everyone in the US loves and adores him.

    I can’t believe we’re already talking about 2012.

  3. Brigadoon says:

Cheney is suffering “end-stage heart failure,” and “Obama Derangement Syndrome.” Getting a transplant could prolong his life for years but his hatred for Obama is incurable and will ultimately lead to his demise.

  4. feminazi says:

What’s remarkable to me is, Cheney, who has loitered around Washington DC for more than 45 years and is a former vice president, now that he’s out of office and officially retired, consistently behaves in such an undignified fashion. He’s an embarrassment. Even George W. Bush and his father, act more like adults than Cheney. What a vile man.

  5. DMason says:

Hi feminazi. Happy New Year to you. I agree about Cheney. There’s nothing remotely dignified about his post-Bush administration behavior. He’s like a spoiled brat. I really detest him and his vicious mini-me daughter.

  6. Big Hank says:

Studies show 129 million Americans have pre-existing conditions.

Cheney is one of them. He suffers from stupidity.

  7. lea-lea says:

Imagine the poor family who learns their loved one’s heart was transplanted into Dick Cheney’s chest? What a horrible emotional and psychological burden to place on a family.

Cheney doesn’t deserve a heart. He deserves a boot toe to the ass.

  8. Robbie says:

I’m with Brigadoon on this one. He’s definitely got ODS bad and none of what he says makes sense.

  9. Carpe Diem says:

If Dick Cheney were a military commander, he would be called up for insubordination. His lack of respect for President Obama and the United States, is shocking and a comment on his character.

Keep in mind, Cheney received four military deferrals because allegedly, he was too “busy making money” than serve his country.

    He’s a disgusting human being.

  10. Bill Hussein O'Reilly says:

MEMO TO CHENEY: Shut the Fuck Up! No one cares what you think.

  11. Arizona Leatherneck says:

    Carpe Diem is correct.

Cheney’s behavior would’ve landed him before a military panel of judges.

I feel confident he would’ve been hit with dishonorable discharge. He’s lucky he’s a civilian and is allowed to dishonor the executive branch. As a former member, Cheney should know better.
