The Susan G. Komen Foundation – the organization known for its pretty pink ribbons and 5K foot races to raise money for Breast Cancer research and prevention has had a tough few weeks of late.
They were thrust into the news for ending their grants to Planned Parenthood.
While the Komen Foundation doesn’t want to be associated with the nation’s largest abortion-provider, they don’t mind partnering up with a handgun maker.
This handgun is a real beauty. A portion of the sale of each P-22 Hope Edition will be donated to the Seattle Branch of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. It retails for a cool $429.99.
Aren’t rightwing organizations a hoot?
Editor Update: Susan G. Komen for the Cure founder Nancy Brinker today apologized to Planned Parenthood and announced Komen would continue to make grants to the family planning agency. It’s amazing what a little bad press will do.
