Kudos to MSNBC’s David Shuster and Tamron Hall for their careful handling of the rabid, frothing-at-the-mouth, Israeli Birther, Dr. Orly Taitz.

Now, I realize many Israelis (usually rightwing Likuds) are still smarting over the fact that the American people rejected Hillary Clinton and John McCain and elected Barack Obama president but, to call anyone in the media who disagrees with their insane journey into the dark reaches of village insanity “brownshirts” is beyond the pale.
At least we know now who is behind the phony Kenyan birth certificate so proudly presented by the radical, rightwing WorldNetDaily as proof Mr. Obama is a foreign national.

The Jews hate President Obama. They were gunning for U.S. permission to nuke Iran and President Obama told them this would not be allowed to happen on his watch.
They are fed a daily media diet of radical drivel about the president and sadly, many believe it.
Perhaps, one day Israel will stop electing the likes of Benjamin Netanyahu who clearly despises Mr. Obama.
Taitz is a whack job. She is represented the Birthers efforts to bring their care to the SCOTUS who told her no. She’s crazy.
Dr. Orly Taitz is the Birther queen. Just as the founder of the Free Republic is the Birther king. It’s a sad day when Israel elevates kooks like this to positions of credibility on an issue that has no credibility.
Dr. Taitz is an embarrassment to Israel and the Jewish community. Representing Dr. Alan Keyes is an example of her agenda.
And to Massagatto – no, not all Jews hate President Obama. I donated, campaigned and voted for him.

Keith had a great piece about this kook on his program last night that totally deconstructed her and rendered the document a faker.
For example, President Obama was born in 1961 but the date of the document is 1964. Mombasa was, in 1964 still part of Zanzibar and not part of Kenya as the faker says.
You would think as a lawyer, this Dr. Orly Taitz would at least checked a few historical facts before offering it up to the public.
Dr. Orly Taitz = Bruno?
Dr. Orly Taitz’s use of the term “Brownshirt” for anyone in the media who challenges her on her BS says all I need to know. Taitz wrote a number of columns appearing in Israeli newspapers during the confirmation hearings for Judges Roberts and Alito in their defense. She worships George W. Bush and has utter disdain for liberals, minorities and gays. I see her the Jewish equivalent of Ann Coulter.
One thing the 2008 presidential election taught me was the ugly truth of rightwing politics in Israel. I was naive and thought after WWII, that Jewish people are all somehow more evolved.
The media in America is very careful to paint Israel with a single brush stroke. But Israel is no better or worse than the U.S. when it comes to extremism.
There are racist Israelis who would feel right at home with David Duke or the Aryan Nation. For them, President Obama is the devil and they will be dancing in the streets of Tel Aviv if he’s harmed by an American racist group.

David Letterman’s hate is as old as some ancient Hebrew prophets.
Speaking of anti-Semitism, it’s Jerry Falwell and other fundy leaders who’ve gleefully predicted that in the future EVERY nation will be against Israel (an international first?) and that TWO-THIRDS of all Jews will be killed, right?
Wrong! It’s the ancient Hebrew prophet Zechariah who predicted all this in the 13th and 14th chapters of his book! The last prophet, Malachi, explains the reason for this future Holocaust that’ll outdo even Hitler’s by stating that “Judah hath dealt treacherously” and “the Lord will cut off the man that doeth this” and asks “Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother?”
Haven’t evangelicals generally been the best friends of Israel and persons perceived to be Jewish? Then please explain the recent filthy, hate-filled, back-stabbing tirades by David Letterman (and Sandra Bernhard and Kathy Griffin) against a leading evangelical named Sarah Palin, and explain why most Jewish leaders have seemingly condoned Palin’s continuing “crucifixion”!
While David, Sandra, and Kathy are tragically turning comedy into tragedy, they are also helping to speed up and fulfill the Final Holocaust a la Zechariah and Malachi, thus helping to make the Bible even more believable!

I’m Jewish. A few realities. One, most Jews voted for our President and are strong supporters even if annoyed with the way health reform is playing out, and are strong supporters of Israel, even if they are annoyed at how the country continues to allow more settlements on the West Bank. Two, if you take any culture, religion, or country, as long as there are human beings, there have to be oddballs and wingnuts, but they are always in the minority. Three, it’s a free country that allows its citizens to have whacky opinions and for the most part, not suffer being killed for them. Exposing them in a free press has led in this case to the public viewing Ms. Taitz as a fraud. Which leads to four, for a former SSR citizen to compare our President to Stalin means that she was either too lazy or too stupid to compare a brute who slaughtered millions of his subjects on whim with an American citizen born of an American mother in a US Territory, which is now a state. What she does and represents, in my opinion as a Jew, in Yiddish, is a shonda.
I doubt the shonda’s even Jewish. She “claims” Jewish heritage, but so did a lot of people to get out of the former Soviet Union. No Jew would use the term “brownshirt” like that or the majority of the other venomous drivel that comes from her mouth.
