Dan Cathy, president of fast food chain Chick-fil-A, said in a radio interview on “The Ken Coleman Show, that legalizing same-sex marriage is “inviting God’s judgment on our nation.”
“I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage. I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.”
In 2010, the proud, anti-gay Chick-fil-A, through its WinShape Foundation, donated roughly $2 million to groups that oppose same-sex marriage. In 2009 the company reportedly donated $2 million to such groups.

Never heard of them before and I’ve never eaten their product. I will pass along the word about their bigoted world views from on high.
Terrible food, horrible company, run by Bible thumpers. Avoid at all costs.
I am delighted to read Dan Cathy’s comments on marriage equality.
Now I can make informed decisions about never eating their food which is precisely what I plan to do for their rest of my natural life. If I’m on the road taking a trip and I pull off the freeway to get a fast meal and Chick-Fil-A is the only place in town, I will get back on the road and go onto the next town.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion — even if they’re wrong.
Dan Cathy is wrong. He’s an anachronism from another century. His views on same-sex marriage are eerily reminiscent of the views of many Americans in the 1950s and 1950s who said white people and black people aren’t equal and should not marry.
Like the Real Adam wisely pointed out, now we know where not to spend our hard earned dollars.
I see a lot of self centered comments here, people thinking that they are the center of the universe. You need to be looking outward to see the truth and not looking inward to your own desires. Dan Kathy is absolutely correct, following GOD’s will is the only way. You can call us names, but that wont change the truth.
Chick-Fil-A is headquartered in Atlanta, GA.
Their advertising slogan is, “Eat mor chikin”. Not only is the company vehemently homophobic, they also can’t spell worth shit. Maybe they should rename the company Chick-Fil-Deliverance?
Jack in Colorado – You are completely delusional. God’s word, the Bible, is a collection of stories written by man and translated thousands of times, losing their original intent and meaning. You can use this book of fiction to justify your hatred but in the end, it is your soul that will suffer.
I’ll never eat at this God-forsaken restaurant chain when it expands to where I live.
Another weird concept restaurant… You’d think that someone like that would just shut up and let people eat. Moron. Dangerous.
I am GOD and she is telling you NOT to eat at Chick-Fil-A. So it is written.
The only place I’ve ever seen a Chick-Fil-A is in the food courts of shopping centers. Maybe these shopping centers should be the site of boycotts and protests? Most are already struggling financially and I have to think controversy is the last thing a corporate-owned mall wants to see.
David is onto a germ of an idea. Boycotts of malls with Chick-Fill-A restaurants in their food courts would send a powerful message about hate. Sign me up.
If I were were starving and their crummy slop was the last food on earth left to eat, I would not put a Chick-Fil-A morsel in my mouth.
You got it wrong Vivzz. The Bible is proven to have the most accurate preservation of any other book ever. To all who don’t agree with him – in this country anyone can run their own business and still express and have a right to their beliefs. You don’t have to eat there. He isn’t discriminating and he isn’t hating. If that were the case, he wouldn’t serve gays. I applaud his courageous stand for the Biblical perspective.
what ever happened to just loving one another and respecting one another? we are all human. gay straight transgender whatever…..i think god would be disappointed that for one: people actually think god cares about a food chain, trust me im sure he himself didnt invest in a food chain, and two that that we are all forgetting his golden rule, LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS YOUR BROTHER
