Barack Obama’s campaign announced Thursday that it raised a stunning $55 million in February, again besting Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

The Obama campaign said it collected $55 million in primary funds in a month that saw the Illinois senator string together 12 victories in a row after Super Tuesday on Feb. 5.

This jaw-dropping sum definitely qualifies Barack Obama for Superman status.

That’s a hell of a lot of green and Superman, I mean Barack Obama, will need every penny of it to help him knock Hillary Clinton out of contention. Too bad she won’t get the fuck out of the race, so that Obama can use his change to battle McCain.

  2. Harry says:

I agree Brig. What a shame Obama can’t use this windfall to take out McCain.

So what’s this rumor going around that Hillary may ask her old friend Joe Lieberman to be her running mate? Please, say it isn’t so?

Even Hillary can’t be that lame.

  4. Rachel says:

Holy Joe and Hillary? Oh my God. I always thought McCain wanted him on his ticket? They’re political twin brothers, and Holy Joe is every bit as addicted to power as is Hillary.

  5. TOM339 says:

The chattering class, all predicted the 2008 presidential race would end up costing a $1 billion dollars for the first time.

This is an obscene amount of money to elect a new president.

It is an amazing amount…and shows that people are supporting him….every little bit adds up…I don’t know WHERE Hill ‘s money comes from- one month- she is in debt- loaning her campaign money…and NOW she says it is rolling in…I don’t believe her…I like the knowing that over a million little people like me are helping Obama…
