Is Bush “Chicken-Plucking” Crazy?

Sounding confused, touching to hand to his forehead and warbling on about “chicken-plucking,” George Bush made a bizarre appearance at Tippecanoe High School in Ohio on Thursaday and offered the following bon mots:

• His legacy: Bush said historians are still assessing George Washington, the nation’s first leader. “My attitude is, if they’re still writing about number one [Washington], 43 doesn’t need to worry about it.”

• Opinion polls: “Polls just go poof.”

• His marriage: “A good marriage is really good after serving together in Washington, D.C.”

• School principals: “Politics comes and goes, but your principles don’t. And everybody wants to be loved – not everybody – you never heard anybody say, `I want to be despised, I’m running for office.'”

• Jobs: “There are jobs Americans aren’t doing. If you’ve got a chicken factory, a chicken-plucking factory, or whatever you call them, you know what I’m talking about.”

• Iraq: “There are some similarities, of course between Iraq and Vietnam. Death is terrible.”

Quickly put him in a padded, soft cell where he can’t harm himself. How much more proof do we need that this man is certifiably whack?

  2. Harry says:

He’s off his meds. You can always tell when Bush is off his meds. That’s the time he really struggles with the English language. Usually the English language wins.

  3. TOM339 says:

I’ll tell you what’s scary about Bush.

This guy has access to new-kew-lawr weapons. He shouldn’t have access to a paint gun, let alone be the Commander in Chief. Bush isn’t psychologically fit to hold office.

Hopefully, the military is keeping him on a short teather.

  4. Christopher says:

I think it would a riot to intereview the high school student who had to sit through Bush’s performance yesterday.

Kids today are very sharp and Bush must’ve seemed like a clown to them. A crazy-ass clown.

Tim Allen as Tim “The Toolman” Taylor; “…uuurrrruuuhhh??!!”

  6. DCVET says:

So is Bush saying his daughter, the Bush twins, should be working at a chicken plant plucking chickens instead of drinking their way across South America? Maybe he can clarify his statement?

  7. Idaho Librul says:

Gone are the days that a presidential visit inspired young Americans still attending high school. Now, when George Bush comes to call he reminds the students that their future employment could include working as a chicken plucker. Pathetic.

  8. Harry says:

Bush is America’s posterchild for parents everywhere warning them not to do drugs.

  9. tacofish says:

And people are worried about the mentally ill Cho being able to legally buy a gun… And this man has the Patriot Act and his finger on the button…

  10. Woodcliffe says:

Bush can’t be let off the script. He must be tightly managed and controlled or he lapses into Crazy George as the examples cited clearly indicate. What you posted is the essential George Bush – the man Laura and his staff must deal with day after day.

The chicken plucking does make sense. What a natural subject for a ChickenHawk.

    TomCat – ROFLMAO!

  13. balkanbalkan says:

    Will this man ever go?!?

  14. So much stupid!!!!
Not that anyone works for any “branded” chicken packagers nearby. Nope. Not in Virginia. No Americans doing those jobs.
Polls do just go poof though. They are kind of like election fraud scandals that way.

  15. Christopher says:

TomCat, May I second that ROFLMAO?

You have to wonder which drug flashback he is on anytime he opens his mouth. Our fearless leader in action.

Bush is a problem but he is not the biggest problem.

I am a 2 tour Vietnam Veteran who recently retired after 36 years of working in the Defense Industrial Complex on many of the weapons systems being used by our forces as we speak.

    Politicians make no difference.

We have bought into the Military Industrial Complex (MIC). If you would like to read how this happens please see:

    http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2007/03/spyagency200703

Through a combination of public apathy and threats by the MIC we have let the SYSTEM get too large. It is now a SYSTEMIC problem and the SYSTEM is out of control. Government and industry are merging and that is very dangerous.

There is no conspiracy. The SYSTEM has gotten so big that those who make it up and run it day to day in industry and government simply are perpetuating their existance.

The politicians rely on them for details and recommendations because they cannot possibly grasp the nuances of the environment and the BIG SYSTEM.

So, the system has to go bust and then be re-scaled, fixed and re-designed to run efficiently and prudently, just like any other big machine that runs poorly or becomes obsolete or dangerous.

This situation will right itself through trauma. I see a government ENRON on the horizon, with an associated house cleaning.

The next president will come and go along with his appointees and politicos. The event to watch is the collapse of the MIC.

I always had the sense that Bush was suffering from some type of mental illness or brain injury. He’s simply not normal. People say it’s from drugs. Maybe so. All I know is when I look into his eyes, I see the face of a madman. The camera doesn’t lie.

  19. TomCat says:

He may be a borderline psychopath, but he’s a full time sociopath.
