David Plouffe Says Hillary Clinton Strongest Candidate in 2016
President Barack Obama’s former top adviser David Plouffe says Hillary Clinton is “probably the strongest” candidate in either party among potential 2016 presidential contenders.
“She is in both parties right now by far I think the most interesting candidate, probably the strongest candidate. But she has right now the opportunity to take some well deserved and rare time for her with her family and figure things out,”
Go Hillary Go! What a remarkable woman. No wonder the overwhelming majority of the American public hold her in such high regard. These are the words we want to hear from the future president. Unlike douches like Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan who want the Constitution amended to ban same-sex marriage.
Hillary Clinton is smart. She is a very shrewd politician who knows if she’s going to win in 2016, she needs the $$$ from the gay community. Look what happened to Romney when he took the opposite view on marriage. While I believe her views have evolved on marriage, this is a big and rapid evolution from her views back in 2008.
I agree with ChiTOM. Hillary has evolved on the issue but so have many people from her generation so I say this without cynicism. In 2008, Hillary refused to say DOMA should be repealed, only Article 3 of the measure which blocks federal benefits for gay people. But remember, her husband and her daughter now say DOMA needs to be repealed so their influence on her can’t be underestimated.
None of Hillary’s POV vis a vis same-sex marriage has the air of calculation to me.
My guess is, these were her views while at State but she was restricted from expressing them. Now, as a private American citizen, she can speak freely. I, for one, welcome her support.
Married to the DADT president, it seems jaded to me to have her speak out in favor circa 2013, after she is safely headed into retirement. A little late & playing it safe, Hill?
You are a New Left Hipster, also known as a MoveOn.org liberal, a Netroots activist, or a Daily Show fanatic. You believe that if we really want to defend American values, conservatives must be exposed, mocked, and assailed for every fanatical, puritanical, warmongering, Constitution-shredding ideal for which they stand.
Hillary Clinton 2016!
Hillary Rodham Clinton was voted the ‘MOST ADMIRED WOMAN’ in America a record 17 times.
This is no accident. In fact, she’s even more admired than Michelle Obama.
I welcome the opportunity to vote for this great woman again.
Rob Portman beat her to the punch on marriage.

Hillary is the 2016 frontrunner and she hasn’t declared. Now, that’s a powerful woman!

Clinton was free to endorse marriage equality all along.
