Paul Ryan Repeatedly Booed by AARP Audience in New Orleans

Friday, September 21, 2012

Rep. Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney’s bizarre choice for vice president, addressed a crowd of AARP members in New Orleans and was repeatedly booed by the audience.

With his upside-down smirk and condescending oratory style, Ryan tried to spin the well-informed crowd that the Affordable Care Act, AKA, ObamaCare, poses a threat to Medicare (it doesn’t). Then he actually tried to frighten the attendees with the tired “Social Security is in trouble” talking point. For the record, the Social Security system is solvent until at least 2037.

In any case, enjoy watching Rep. Paul Ryan get his ass handed to him by a room full of senior citizens.

  1. Vivzz says:

This video is priceless. Paul Ryan is a fool.

  2. Zarathustra says:

Paul Ryan…. go ahead, dummy, tell your mother you’re gonna kill her Social Security….

  3. ChiTOM says:

Now he can use this clip in commercials to the delight of the base claiming seniors are too old and dangerously raucous and incapable of understanding the purity of Ayn Rand’s writings and phony philosophy she espoused. What a beautiful sight watching the AARP crowd rip Ryan a new asshole. Thank goodness we live in the You Tube era.

  4. Randy Arroyo says:

Before election day, Paul Ryan will label AARP members dangerous subversives that should be watched by the FBI and Secret Service. He’s such a pussy.

  5. Mets Fan says:

Little Paul Ryan must stop using terminology he doesn’t understand like calling Social Security “collectivism.” He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

He’s out of his league and in over his head.

  6. Bill Hussein O'Reilly says:

Ryan has Photoshopped pictures of Ayn Rand butt-nekkid he pleasures himself too. Yuck!

  7. Adirondacky says:

Ryan looks very embarrassed. Even he is smart enough to understand how this is going to look on cable news and YouTube.

  8. Marcus Ybanez says:

Didn’t Paul Ryan previously call the AARP “a corrupt ‘left-leaning pressure group’?

If AARP is so corrupt, why would he embarrass himself by speaking to them? Just more proof that Paul Ryan is not the intellectual leader of the Republican party. Their intellectual leader was and remains, Rush Limbaugh.

  9. fran says:

“I had a feeling there’d be a “mixed reaction” (he says to the angry villagers w pitchforks & torches).

These hucksters have even been prepped on what to say to hostile crowds & or hecklers– because they have come to expect discontent to surface @ their rallies.
What does that say about their campaign & platform?

  10. Paul Ryan’s mother isn’t worried about her Social Security. She’s a millionaire in her own right and Paul Ryan has nothing to worry about, either. He lies so easily and will do it again, despite being caught in his lies. At least if he’s re-elected to Congress, he won’t get away with the crap he did last session in spinning the ridiculous claims he made. Hopefully, R&R will be soundly defeated and so will Ryan in his district. It certainly doesn’t bode well for either one of them when the V.P. and the Presidential candidates cannot carry their home states.

  11. feminazi says:

Marcus Ybanez – You’re kidding me? Ryan called the AARP a “left leaning, corrupt pressure group,” prior to addressing them? Advocacy group, yes but left leaning? I think not. AARP was open to the recommendations of Simpson-Bowles debt group before learning the cost to seniors would be much to great for them to sign-off on. Ryan is clueless.

  12. Seabec says:

Paul Ryan is full of bullshit and seniors have been around long enough to recognize this.

  13. Chad Lebanon says:

I’m sure the audience was terrified they would be bitten by Baby Vampire Boy.
