Billy Graham, 93, took out a full-page advertisement scheduled to run in 14 North Carolina newspapers supporting of the viciously homophobic Amendment One.
Amendment One would amend the North Carolina state constitution to ban same-sex marriage.
The ancient, ailing Bible thumper pontificated from his home in Montreat:
“At 93, I never thought we would have to debate the definition of marriage. The Bible is clear; God’s definition of marriage is between a man and a woman. I want to urge my fellow North Carolinians to vote for the marriage amendment on Tuesday, May 8. God bless you as you vote.”
Billy Graham has a disturbing history of making anti-Semitic comments.
In taped conversations in 1973 with his good friend, the late President Richard M. Nixon, Graham is heard espousing classic, anti-Semitic canards, referring to the “synagogue of Satan.”
