Controversial NY Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow made the scene at Yankee Stadium for Sunday’s 11-5 win over the LA Angels.
The newest Jet, who is due to attend workouts with the team on Monday, sat on the third-base side next to the Angels dugout with a Yankees cap on. When the Stadium video board showed Tebow, he received a few cheers but mostly boos from New York fans.
Clearly, New York isn’t ready to embrace the polarizing, religious fanatic as one of their own.
New York ain’t Denver. Good riddance, Timmy. Now you’re someone else’s problem.
The Gronk told an audience he would love to be the one to take Tebow’s virginity. The audience let out a howl. Looks like Tebow is a living parody of an NFL player. He’s going to have to use more magic tricks than a smile and a prayer to ingratiate himself to Jets fans. Like Joe in Colorado said, New York ain’t Denver.
The only reason thy booed him is because he’s a Jet.Yankee fans hate the Jets. They’re Giants fans for the most part. That’s the way it is in NY.
PS as a Jets fan I think this is a huge mistake.Denver could have kept Tebow as far as I’m concerned.
Fuck him and the horse he road in on. Because he supposedly believes in something that does not exist and can play a game better than a few he is given credibility. The only thing it shows me is that the level of shit this country is wallowing in gets deeper.
Huge mistake. The Jets have a perfectly good QB. However, that said, I would very much enjoy being the one to pop his cherry. Tebow is hot and if he’s really a virgin, I promise to be gentle.
Tebow belongs on a college team. His arm isn’t up to NFL standards.
But you can blame John Elway for this. Everyone else passed on Tebow’s “greatness” and after last year’s disastrous season, even Elway saw the light. I predict the Jets will trade Tebow after a season.
Rachel – You naughty girl! 😉
As a Yankee fan and a Jet fan, all of you who say that he was booed because he’s a Jet are wrong. He was booed because NYers don’t like religion shoved in their face. Tebow’s going to have a rough time in NY. It’s all about results. As a Jet fan I hope he succeeds but I don’t hold out hope.
