I think Van Jones is 100% correct. If Obama dumped Michelle and married a white woman, his black support wouldn’t waver.

I saw a poll of African American support for President Obama late last year and I think he enjoyed 88% support in this community. He is still strong with black voters. However, his support among independents has taken a hit. When you look at the GOP field, I think Obama’s reelection is all but certain.

The GOP has blown it with women, which is working in Obama’s favor. One of my blogger friends suggests the GOP really didn’t want to win this year, they’d rather just keep blocking Obama and blaming him for the economy until they can make a clean sweet in 2016. He may have a point. Surely they could have done better than the clowns that are running this year.
