Dick Cheney Moves to Top of Donor List, Receives New Heart at 71

Sunday, March 25, 2012

Former Veep Dick Cheney, was moved to the top of the donor list and received a new heart Saturday. He is recovering at Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA.

The Associated Press reported:

“Cheney suffered a heart attack in 2010, his fifth since the age of 37. He had bypass surgery in 1988, as well as two subsequent angioplasties to clear narrowed coronary arteries. In 2001, he had a special pacemaker implanted in his chest.”

One can’t help but wonder what 16 year old teenage boy Cheney had killed in order to get his paws on his heart?

In the U.S., more than 84,000 men, women and children are waiting for organ transplants. Their struggle to live depends on a complex and technologically-advanced organ allocation system that links patients with organs donated by strangers.

The average wait for a new heart is well over three years. Unless, you’re Dick Cheney.

I wondered the same thing as you. My parents are friends with a family whose father had heart disease and ultimately, placed on a donor list for transplantation. The man — if I recall, was in his 50’s and had no other health issues like a history of smoking, hepatitis or alcoholism. Long story short, after 2 years, the man died, as no suitable heart was found and matched to him.

My Question….. How will that piece of human excrement, Cheney, get used to having something he never had before…. a HEART! ??????

  3. Brigadoon says:

Maybe Cheney will have another few months now to reflect on the evil that has been his life?

  4. Marcus Ybanez says:

What happened to the phrase “only the good die young”?

It obviously doesn’t apply to Cheney. His evil and inhumanity to his fellow man, is the fire that stokes his very existence. He’s a vile, disgusting human being and I predict he will be dead and buried within a year. A perfectly good heart gone to waste.

  5. Woodcliffe says:

Did Cheney take the donor hunting by chance?

  6. Eric Equality Kuntz says:

A total waste of a perfectly good heart.

When I think of all the decent men, women, and children who weren’t in contention for this heart but were pushed aside for Cheney to get it?

Makes me sick to my stomach.

  7. Pechanga says:

Had Cheney not carried an electrical pack to artificially deliver a charge to his dead heart, he would have died. How can doctors transplant a new heart into a body that was basically a corpse without a pulse?

I don’t understand this. Why was Cheney even on a donor list to start with?

  8. Arizona Leatherneck says:

“Did Cheney take the donor hunting by chance?”

    ROFLMAO! Good one, Woodcliffe.

  9. Insouciant says:

Heartfelt condolences to the family of the donor. I hope you never have to suffer the horror and indignity of knowing your loved one’s heart now resides in the chest of Richard Cheney. This is the definition of cruel and unusual punishment.

  10. Jim says:

There’s not a chance in hell that this guy didn’t move to the front of the line because of $$$$ and power.

  11. Sayingwhatneedsaying says:

Cheney has been at the very ‘TOP’ of several of my lists………………….

  12. hipolito says:

$250,000 and a new heart can’t buy this cretin a soul.

  13. joost says:

Was it a human heart or a pig heart? A human heart will be met with rejection. A pig heart will beat for years in Cheney’s chest. Nonetheless, he is still the essence of evil incarnate and didn’t deserve the organ. He should just crawl into his coffin and burst into flames.

  14. VicoDANIEL says:

Well, this story has had a profound effect on me.

Next week, I plan to change my organ donor status with the DMV. As a life-long supporter of organ donation, I realize now that I can’t participate in a program that might possibly extend the life of a man like Dick Cheney.

I am changing my organ donor status to “No.”

  15. Estacada says:

Mary Cheney was artificially inseminated several times over the years. Does anyone know for a fact that the children she produced are still living?

I mean, I hate to be crude but, the heart from a baby Republican who is also a family member is less likely to be rejected by the Big Dick that a heart from an unknown stranger.

  16. The Real Adam says:

Elites like Dick Cheney (members of the Bush dynasty too) will never experience the true death.

Their vast wealth affords them access to the latest medical treatments, drugs, and organ transplant procedures. They will live for eternity. A hundred years from now, Cheney will be holding on. As will Poppy and Babs Bush.

  17. okjimm says:

ok…so he got a heart…. will the wizard give him a brain and courage next?

  18. feminazi says:

I want to say nothing but Cheney’s age coupled with his terrible character makes me question the very fact of his presence on a donor list in the first place. How many others — younger parents of children, did the transplant team bump because he’s a former vice president? It just doesn’t sound right to me.

  19. Show Queen says:

    Cheney got Gallagher’s heart. Bastard.

  20. fran says:

deadeye dick really seems unworthy, after all the death & destruction he wielded.
