Rick Santorum holds an Etch-A-Sketch up to USAA employees at campaign stop
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday said Republicans should give President Obama another term if Santorum isn’t the GOP nominee and for a second day compared rival Mitt Romney to an Etch-A-Sketch toy.
Santorum repeated an argument he has made before: former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney isn’t conservative enough to offer voters a clear choice in the fall election and that only he can provide that contrast.
He added: “If they’re going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk of what may be the Etch-A-Sketch candidate for the future.”
During his speech to employees of USAA, a San Antonio-based insurance company, Santorum held up an Etch-A-Sketch and said his positions don’t change like etchings on the toy. He could be seen fiddling with the toy’s knobs between questions from audience members.

Santorum is delusional. He isn’t going to be the GOP nominee and he sure as hell isn’t going to be president. You really have to wonder who planted the notion in his head he was a viable challenger to President Obama? He’s a failed senator and a lousy lawyer.

I think months on the campaign trail has made Santorum unhinged. A healthy, middle-aged man just doesn’t carry around an Etch-a-Sketch as a compelling argument why the voters should select him to be the Republican candidate to challenge President Obama. Santorum is cuckoo.
An Etch a Sketch? Nineteen million Americans are unemployed, the debt is over $16 trillion and after a decade, we’re still in Afghanistan and this is all Santorum offers the electorate?
Guess he was never a serious candidate after all.
