Everybody Hates Patricia Heaton

Thursday, March 8, 2012

54-year-old actress, Patricia Heaton, best known for her role on “Everybody Loves Raymond,” stepped into a sewer of stank after going on a wild-eyed twitter rant that sided with Rush Limbaugh’s hateful, misogynistic attack on Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke.

Limbaugh called Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute” after testifying before Congress that she believed Georgetown University should offer students free contraception.

Heaton, an Ohio native, joined with Limbaugh in attacking Fluke on her twitter account and said the following:

“Hey G-Town Gal: Plz let us also pay for your Starbucks, movie theater tickets and your favorite hot wings combo deal at KFC! Anything else?”

“Hey G-Town Gal: If your parents have to pay for your birth control, maybe they should get a say in who you sleep with!” Instant birth control!”

“If every Tweaton sent Georgetown Gal one condom, her parents would have to cancel basic cable, & she would never reproduce — sound good?”

“Hey GTown Gal: How about only having sex on Wednesday? (Hump day!).”

“Hey G-Town Gal: turn your underwear inside out! Then u only have to do laundry every 2 weeks—saves on detergent & trips to Laundromat!”

Patricia Heaton, a conservative Christian, was besieged by angry messages from fans — mostly women. So fierce was the response on her twitter account that Heaton was forced to offer a half-assed apology before temporarily closing her twitter account and removing her vicious comments.

I think ABC should reconsider employing Heaton. If she hates women and embraces people like Limbaugh, maybe she should be a radio host and not a Hollywood actress? Thanks for posting this. As a liberal woman, I know all I need to know about Patricia Heaton and I won’t ever watch her stupid ABC comedy again.

  2. Joe in Colorado says:

Patricia Heaton’s conservative views were mentioned by the wonderful Doris Roberts years ago when “Raymond” was still on the air.Doris Roberts suggested the cast learned early on to walk on egg shells around Heaton or you would suffer her Biblical-hinged wrath. Apparently, Heaton was the least popular member on the program thanks to her views.

  3. debinOH says:

She lives in a suburb near Cleveland, OH where I live. As Joe mentioned, if you know anything about her (outside of her shows) you know that she is just another crazy. Can’t watch anything with her in it nor will I watch anything with “Frazier” in it. He is another asshat and I refuse to even use his name. They both make me ill.

  4. Matteo says:

Here’s the official ABC comment link.

I wrote to them about Patricia Heaton’s terrible piling on Sandra Fluke the day before yesterday. The network must understand there are consequences to hiring men and women like this. Heaton should be fired. Her apology is as empty as her head.

  5. Walk on Socks says:

I visited Patricia Heaton’s Twitter account. Phew!

She’s a staunch fan and supporter of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Andrew Breitbart and Michelle Malkin. The woman is one, scary winger.

  6. mdmbl says:

Welcome back to the east coast Christopher! This is where you belong. About Patricia Heaton and siding with Rush Limbaugh against women’s reproductive rights, her views aren’t dissimilar from most of the old school Catholics in the neighborhood where I grew up. I have never watched her ABC comedy ‘The Middle’ because I am familiar with her world view and as the mother of two daughters, I can’t support a program that employs her, presumably, with a king’s salary. Women’s reproductive rights are under attack in this country and people like Patricia Heaton are part of the problem.

  7. One Fly says:

Don’t know this women and don’t care to know her or anyone else like them. This nonsense from her and the pigboy is just like those stupid days of junior high and high school. It’s very dumb but is meant for people who think they give a shit but are just that – stupid.

  8. Debbie Banuelos says:

“Hey G-Town Gal: turn your underwear inside out! Then u only have to do laundry every 2 weeks—saves on detergent & trips to Laundromat!” – Patricia Heaton

Fuck you Heathen, I mean Heaton.

  9. I’ve never been a big fan of Patricia Hatin’. She had me at arm’s length at “fan of Michelle Malkin”.

  10. AFM says:

You know I am a strong believer in free speech. The best way we can her Ms Heaton is just boycott her show. When the ratings go down they will pull her program. The same way with Bill Mahar. If you don’t like these people then turn the channel. No one is stopping you. I don’t get myself worked up about things people say I just stop tunning in to their shows. Like Grammar, I never watched his show especially since he cheated on his wife. I just can’t stomach a so called “family values” kind of man. When he is nothing but a cheater.

  11. Jim says:

Not very Christian, that attitude, if you ask me!

  12. DMason says:

These tweets by Ms. Heaton are childish and unacceptable. Heaton needs to keep her opinions to herself. At least we know now just who she is and how she views women.

  13. akrnc says:

Any woman who follows Limbaugh and defends what he says is NOT a Christian. Her behavior is anything but Christ-like. It doesn’t matter what you say you are, it’s your behavior that dictates what you truly are. Heaton has lost many people who otherwise would have watched her shows. I’ll never leave a channel on in my home if she’s on TV, that’s what the remote is for!

  14. ChiTOM says:

I read then reread Patricia Heaton’s tweets a couple of time until they fully sunk in.

It would be greatly appreciated if she would shut the fuck up and not offer any further comments on matters that she, as a wealthy Hollywood celebrity, has no understanding of. Just act, Patty, however badly, just act, and leave the politics to us.

  15. panasit says:

    What mbmdl said.

  16. The Real Adam says:

The Heaton Monster LOVES Rush Limbaugh. Here’s what she said about the AM radio drug addict:

“I want to see a republican debate where #RushLimbaugh, #HughHewitt and #MichaelMedved ask the questions—tough and intelligent.” via Twitter. This is NOT a smart woman.

  17. Randy Arroyo says:

Good to see you back at the keyboard. I trust the trip was safe albeit long. About Patricia Heaton, just look into her eyes. She has the classic crazy eyes seen in religious lunatics from Midland, TX to Wasilla, AK to Ocala, FL. The woman is functionally unhinged and by aligning herself with the worst fringe elements of the far right, now the world knows who she is. Let’s hope ‘The Middle’ is the last network sitcom we ever see her in.

  18. Adirondacky says:

Heaton has been very lucky. As an actress in Hollywood, her reputation precedes her and I have to think jobs that she was qualified for, probably went to actresses without her baggage. But after this, I also have to think casting directors will pass over her or risk the controversy and controversy like this is very expensive.

  19. joost says:

I stopped watching Everybody Loves Raymond after learning about Patricia Heaton and her far right religious views. I adore Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle but I couldn’t stomach Heaton. She’s a kook and a fringe dweller.

  20. Rendaculous says:

American women should be really angry at the Republican party and their foot soldiers like Heaton spewing their misogyny.

We’re living in 2012 — not 1912 and women aren’t going to be barefoot, in the kitchen and pregnant just so to make their husbands happy little fellows.

  21. feminazi says:

Rendaculous – This old Jew is angry. I remember what life was like before Roe and it wasn’t pretty. I didn’t march and write my elected officials only to have things returned to the 1950’s. I am angry.

  22. Brigadoon says:

After this outburst, methinks Patty Heaton won’t be seen again for a long, long time.

  23. standingtall says:

Beyond the obvious issue of women’s rights at stake here, I am appalled that a 50-something year old woman can go on a teen-aged bully style attack on a woman and her parents – throwing immature jabs at everything BUT the actual issue. Grow up, get some education and take one of my kids’ Bullying assemblies to learn how to address issues like a grown up and not attack character rather than issue. And we wonder where our kids get it?

  24. Sarasotagal says:

I have liked Patty, but not sure how all this fits with a Christian woman. I would love to see her spend a few days with Fluke at work assisting kids and women- which is about a lot more than contraception: battered women, homeless women with kids, needing legal and medical assistance. These women aren’t “moochers” or “takers”. Rather , they are people that Jesus spoke of: “Blessed are the poor”

  25. Ken says:

Good, someone has the guts to tell these Nuts just what they really are and no Less!

  26. Slippery says:

Funny to see all these comments from the left about how Heaton should shut up. How dare she use her celebrity to voice her views! I guess it’s only okay to do so so long as your name is Baldwin, Springsteen, Madonna, or your a member of “the view” crew zoo review. The list goes on and on. Hypocrites, every last one of you.

  27. Connar says:

I can’t believe a woman will tweet crap like that to another woman. Her comments are disgusting. I have never watch any of her shows and after reading her comments , never will. I had no idea who she was.

  28. Bart marten says:

I cannot believe how hateful and how hypocritical the left can be. Maybe yo u can build concentration camps and haul in anyone that does not hold the same views or beliefs that they hold. Whether you agree or disagree your argument will hold more water with an open mind and open heart. Rather than spewing hateful comments, try posing an opposing view with facts to back up your view, and maybe a true debate can take place. Maybe the answer lies in the middle. No one has all of the answers and “change ” has a better chance if all sides are reasonable.

  29. Cactus Jim says:

seems like the exercise of the first amendment only works for narrow minded people like liberals when the subject agrees with the mindless masses. People like you that pile on P H for voicing her opinion, are the reason this country has lost it’s moral compass. Go ahead and play in the sewer and pretend it doesn’t stink, but don’t tell me it’s just another kind of perfume.

  30. Carla says:

I will NOT watch any of Patricia Heatons films or TV ! She is actually lower than Rush Limbaugh, and folks, that is LOW !! She is the Jane Fonda of the right wingers. She is disgusting !!!

  31. pastrjo says:

She wasn’t just voicing an opinion. The comments she made toward Fluke were juvenile and mean. She can disagree with others without being so demeaning. Us liberals were just expressing our views that based on her criticisms, we would prefer to no longer watch her at work.

  32. Larz says:

Would love for her next role to be the star of a bukake video featuring a top tier division basketball team as her supporting cast.

  33. K.M. says:

Good for her. Liberals are brain-dead ifiots.
