President Obama Flip-Flops on Contraception

Friday, February 10, 2012

Organized religion is firmly in-charge of the Obama administration. Especially, in an election year.

Case in point, President Obama is expected to announce this morning he is backing off his new rule requiring employers including religious organizations to offer health insurance that fully covers birth control coverage, according to ABC News.

Religious leaders, mostly those from the Catholic church, squawked loudly when the Obama White House announced birth control would be covered by employer health insurance.

Birth control is a violation of male-centric Catholic beliefs.

Obama is such a limp noodle. He should tell the Catholic bishops to screw-off and not get bogged down in fear of losing the Catholic vote. The majority of American Catholic women practice birth control, so you really have to wonder how informed this White House is about American Catholics?

  2. One Fly says:

These fucker was never going to do anything but to capitulate to these mind fucked bastards. Then the dumb fucks on our side who think this man is soooo wonderful. My ass.

  3. Brigadoon says:

People wanted President Obama to make a statement after the US Court of Appeals decided Prop 8 was unconstitutional. I thought, are you joking? Obama is no LBJ. He’s more Jimmy “JJ” Walker. I see this president as so weak that he’s close to invisible. His supporters insist Obama will come out in support of same-sex marriage in his second term. I don’t believe them. True political leadership requires a strong, inner core and a spine. This president has neither. Obama can’t even stand up to John Boehner during a crying jag.

  4. Brigadoon,

I didn’t expect President Obama to say anything after the Proposition 8 decision. He is quite candid telling anyone who asks that he’s opposed to marriage equality based on his religious beliefs.

In fact, at this year’s White House Prayer Breakfast, Obama said he’s often finds himself on his knees asking for guidance from on-high.

Bottomline: Barack Obama is a damned Bible thumper.

  5. ajihani says:

I’m livid with this president for throwing American women under the bus. 51% of the U.S. is female and I will not forget Obama’s cowardice in November.

  6. fran says:

Hey ! The catholic church is deep in debt paying for sexual predator abuse lawsuits, they can’t afford paying for birth control, let alone allowing the congregation to ease up on providing future members.
Watch they wind up giving vouchers to those deviant catholics who stray from the pope’s reproductive mandates. They can redeem their coupons at a pagan pharmacy!
The Obama camp realized this was headed for a religious rights Supreme Court showdown.
Probably most importantly, they want to run a smooth reelection campaign.
Play it safe, make no waves, pablum for the masses,

  7. Randy Arroyo says:

The always loyal O-Bots are blitzing the media with charges Obama played “smart politics.” I fail to see how capitulating to the religious right is in anyway smart politics? To me, it proves Obama folds when anyone says “boo” and he runs and hides.

  8. Adirondacky says:

Where are all the millions of American Catholic women who use contraceptives? Not a peep from them about the outrageous comments from the Bishops who supposedly speak for them. I simply don’t understand the silence. It’s deafening.

  9. The Real Adam says:

    Obama has two daughters.

He should explain how sucking up to a tiny group of misogynistic Catholic bishops should convince American women why they should vote for him in November?

  10. Estacada says:

There is nothing Obama won’t compromise on which really means capitulate.

If China wanted his daughters, I am sure he would ask Beijing, “which one?” He is truly the definition of spineless.

  11. Big Hank says:

    Adirondacky is correct.

What a disappointment this guy has become. He was suppose to close Guantanamo too and still hasn’t. He was going to bring our troops home in 16 months and it took him over 3 years. A lot of guys died in that time frame. Gasoline has gone from $1.67 nationally when he took office 1/20/09 to over $4.00 a gallon now. My salary has not doubled. My home value has gone in the toilet. Real Estate market nationwide is terrible. The dollar is in the tank. Unemployement is 8.5% and the U-6 government rate shows it more like 14-16%. He obviously has no freaking answers to anything…..why is anyone surprised. What experience did he have. Too many drank his kool-aid and voted him to feel good about themselves. He is all AIR…and empty freaking suit…PERIOD!
