Amazing Disgrace

Saturday, January 14, 2012

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow may be able to turn water into Gatorade but he was unable to shepherd his team to a winning victory against Tom Brady and the elite New England Patriots.

In the most highly-anticipated NFL play-off game in history, the Broncos lost to the Patriots 10-to-44. The game was essentially over by the end of the second quarter.

The Patriots will host either the Baltimore Ravens or Houston Texans next Sunday afternoon.

After captivating the nation with his stellar performance in last week’s wild-card win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow just wasn’t present tonight, completing only nine of 26 passes for 136 yards. At times, Tebow looked lost against the mighty Tom Brady.

Tom Brady dealt with Tebowmania by simply squashing it. He was, in a word, perfect. Brady threw six touchdowns passes, five in the first half — an NFL record and put the Patriots into the AFC championship game.

I think we can finally put the national nightmare of Tebowmania to rest, where it belongs.

Tom Fucking Brady. He’s da’ man! Tebow, well like you said. Our national nightmare is over.

  2. Frank in Castaic says:

Tebow was given all this offense and he threw it away. He needs to spend more time practicing and less time in church if he wants to be taken seriously as an NFL quarterback. At this point, I hope he’s traded.

  3. Woodcliffe says:

    Timmy got Teboned.

  4. stradella says:

I guess God loves Tom Brady more than Tim Tebow.

  5. Mets Fan says:

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were outstanding. They played like a well-oiled machine.

Props to the entire New England Patriots team and organization.

  6. Sayingwhatneedsaying says:

Guess Tebow didn’t kiss Jesus’ ass hard enough! Or maybe it just proves that Talent is more important than groveling.

  7. Jim says:

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

  8. R.J. says:

God smited Tim Tebow and the Patriots exposed him for what he really is. He’s not a good NFL quaterback and he’s got a lot of work to do before he becomes one. He does not have a quick enough release, keeps his eyes locked on the receiver he’s going to throw too throughout the play and he’s always running for his life.

  9. Sayingwhatneedsaying says:

    Poor little Timmy……………..

  10. Joe in Colorado says:

Tebow is lost in the pocket and imprecise. He needs a lot of work in the off season if he doesn’t want to embarrass himself and Colorado next season. As a native of Denver, I would be very happy if he was traded but I know this won’t happen. We’re stuck with Tebow for a few more years.

  11. The Real Adam says:

The best comment came from CBS’ Dan Marino said during the game’s halftime show, “The only way the Denver Broncos have a chance of coming back is if Brady goes and plays for the Broncos.”

I couldn’t agree more. Tom Brady and the Patriots were on fire.

  12. Stephen Iversonn says:

Brady, Gronk, Hernandez again unstoppable. The Broncos never had a chance. I lost count of the number of times Tebow got sacked. Five? Six?

Hernandez added four receptions for 55 yards and a TD. He was a force of nature. Gronkowski had 10 catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Again, a force of nature.

Brady dominated from the moment he set foot on the field. Gillette Stadium is his hood’ and he threw six touchdowns passes five in the first half. He delivered a record shattering performance and sealed the deal by the second quarter. He dominated completely.

  13. Brigadoon says:

Maybe in his haste, Tebow prayed to Allah instead of the Baby Jesus? That would explain his awful showing last night.šŸ˜‰

  14. Arizona Leatherneck says:

You want to know what’s funny?

Tom Brady had more TD passes than Tim Tebow had completions. I mean, I just have to laugh. Tebow needs to spend less time Tebowing and more time on the field training or his future won’t include the NFL but work as a missionary for an evangelical church.

  15. Harry says:

Last night’s Patriots/Broncos game separated the men from the boys.

  16. retahyajyajav says:

Arizona Leatherneck – I notice that too. Tebow was unbelievably bad. He should give back his salary to the Broncos owners.

  17. Peace Nick says:

I guess Jesus isn’t a Broncos fan after all.

  18. Seabec says:

John Elway is responsible for hiring the controversial Tim Tebow. It was a curious decision from the start that turned out to be a shitty decision for Denver. If the Broncos are serious about being contenders then it’s time to get real and start looking for a great, reliable future quarterback and clearly this isn’t Tim Tebow.

  19. Fran says:

KIND OF ON TOPIC- 2 STAR PLAYERS FROM THE U OF OREGON (RECENT ROSEBOWL WINNERS) ANNOUNCED THEY WILL QUIT THE TEAM TO ENTER THE NFL DRAFT, SKIPPING SENIOR YEAR IN COLLEGE.
THE QB THOMAS ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY, THE DAY BEFORE THE DEADLINE, AND LAST WEEK RB LEMICHAEL JAMES DOING THE SAME. A JUNIOR IN COLLEGE DROPPING OUT.
HOW STUPID TO THROW AWAY A FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP YEAR & GET A COLLEGE DEGREE, TO GO AFTER THE ELUSIVE NFL FAT PAYCHECK.
NEVERMIND THESE LIGHTWEIGHTS CAN GET SNAPPED BY THE HEAVY NFL PLAYERS, HAVING THEIR CAREERS ENDED BY CONCUSSIONS & INJURIES.
SO MANY OF THE PLAYERS CAN BARELY STRING A SENTENCE TOGETHER.
    “WE WAS WORKING HARD.”

  20. okjimm says:

Tebow was the Jessica Simpson of the NFL…. folks talked about him… but a lot of people could not understand why…. brady and Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees all had better years….boy if kneeling down on the job was a way to raise his talent level, shit everyone would do it. He is already yesterday’s news

  21. Mauigirl says:

Have not been following this whole Tebow mania thing and am glad I didn’t bother! Right now watching the Giants play Green Bay. Will see what happens… Personally I was always an SF 49ers fan despite being in the NYC area! Loved Joe Montana. Don’t know if he was a nice guy personally, but he sure kept his cool and between him and Rice they made it look easy.

  22. emcee says:

Tebow and the Broncos had no business in that divisional game on Saturday. I had New England up by 14 at the end of the 4th quarter but by 34 is mind blowing.
