Pope Benedict: Gay Marriage a Threat to “the future of humanity itself”

Tuesday, January 10, 2012

The new year brings a viciously homophobic edict from the pedophile priest protector himself, Pope Benedict RatNAZI.

In his annual hate speech to the Vatican diplomatic corps, the so-called papal “State of the World” address, RatNAZI doubled down on gay marriage, calling it the a threat to “the future of humanity.”

The Vatican and Catholic officials around the world have protested against moves to legalize gay marriage in Europe and other developed parts of the world.

Marriage equality is legal in a number of European countries, including Norway, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. Recently, New York state became the sixth U.S. to legalize same-sex marriage.

I found the Catholic Church’s obsession with LGBT equality more than a little ironic considering the appallingly poor job the Catholic hierarchy has done in policing and ending the global pedophile priest epidemic – not that the two are in any way related.

According to the 2004, John Jay report, a total of 10,667 allegations against 4,392 priests in the U.S. faced allegations of sexual abuse against children, mostly from  minor age boys.

A BBC documentary has exposed Pope RatNAZI’s roles as Cardinal Ratzinger in systematic cover-up of child sex abuse by Roman Catholic priests.

  2. Mets Fan says:

It’s good to see the Roman Catholic Church is spreading its usual hatred and intolerance.

No wonder the number of practicing Catholics in the world is declining. The Vatican relies on attracting new victims from developing nations who don’t what their getting into.

Wishing Pope Rat a heart attack in 2012.

  4. Chuck Kozlowski says:

I grew up Catholic and I am spending my adult years to unlearn everything I was taught Sunday mornings in Catechism class.

Each year I become more free from the lies and distortions. Growing up Catholic is unhealthy and takes a lifetime to recover from but, I am on my way.

  5. Idaho Librul says:

The Catholic Church has become an utter disgrace in my lifetime.

Gone is the church that cared for the sick and dying, provided food to the hungry and comforted the grief struck and heartbroken. In its place is a nest of vipers donning white collars and molesting children under cover of darkness.

Gay Marriage will destroy humanity? Seriously? The darkest heart of all is Pope Benedict and his desperate and despotic commitment to keeping the church mired in the 8th century. Gay marriage is hardly a threat — with thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands same sex couples wanted to enter into such unions, the institution will be strengthened.

The Catholic Church cannot survive into the 21st century if it does not change. My guess is, 100 years from now the church will have fewer than 200 million followers worldwide and the Vatican will function as a tourist destination with a hotel, gambling and an amusement park out front.

Until then, this Pope and all future Popes need to shut the fuck up.

  7. Randy Arroyo says:

If Pope Rat is culpable in working to bury the facts about priest pedophilia then, as far as I am concerned, he should be criminally prosecuted just as the person driving the getaway car faces charges in the course of a bank robbery. Why is he being protected?

  8. Joe in Colorado says:

The Whore of Rome creeps me out.

  9. Peace Nick says:

As an atheist, I can’t understand how Catholics recognize this cretin as their absolute spiritual leader?

No mortal is “absolute.” Especially, when you had ties in your youth to the German Nazi Party and as an adult, actively worked to hide known pedophile and pederast priests employed by Rome.

    Catholics are truly screwed up.

  10. Harry says:

Fuck you Benedict, you sanctimonious douchebag.

  11. Sayingwhatneedsaying says:

Amen, to all of the above comments…………And a FUCK YOU BENE “DICK” from me too

  12. Sayingwhatneedsaying says:

Pope Bene “Dick’ is a threat to my Sanity………..

  13. Octopus says:

Sometimes I question these labels, progressive versus conservative. In this instance, are liberals ‘conservative’ and conservatives ‘radical’ with respect to preserving the foundations of constitutional law? I refer to Article VI, paragraph 3 of the U.S. Constitution, which states:

… no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

Yet, here are 5 Founding Fathers Whose Skepticism About Christianity Would Make Them Unelectable Today.

In the State of Florida, Senate Bill 98 is scheduled for a vote TODAY. This bill would let school districts overrule the objections of religious minorities and organize school-sponsored prayer under the banner of student government. Under the bill, school officials would be able to skirt the Constitutional protections of religious liberty (i.e. the separation of church and state) by letting students actually vote on what kind of prayers the school will allow and conduct.

Most disturbing of all, the bill empowers underage children … children! … to trash the Constitution, turn religious freedom into a popularity contest as if electing a prom or homecoming queen, and compel minority students through peer pressure to engage in religious practices that go against their own beliefs.

This is the worst case of social conservative overreach within my lifetime. And yes, it is FASCISM!

Greatest threat to humanity???? I thought that was Brittany Spears?

  15. Mauigirl says:

He is truly horrible. And yes, why not spend a little more time getting “the mote out of your own eye” instead of worrying about gay marriage? The pedophilia scandal is a true threat to humanity, at least to the human beings harmed by it – unlike gay marriage, which harms no one! In all fairness to Catholics in general, I don’t think they really think the Pope is infallible nor do they all agree with his edicts and pronunciations. In this country anyway, Catholics tend to be more liberal than the evangelical Protestants, in my experience.

  16. Big Hank says:

Pope Benedict is evil incarnate. But, the sad truth is, even after he’s long gone and forgotten, I don’t think the Roman Catholic Church will change. They’re stuck, incapable of evolving and, like the Neanderthals, Catholicism is doomed.

  17. Mauigirl says:

Hank, I agree – it is definitely doomed if they are unable to change. Just saw YET ANOTHER story in the paper about a big-shot Catholic priest being implicated in a sex scandal.

  18. feminazi says:

Pope Benedict creeps me out. He isn’t who I think of as a spiritual leader. He belongs on the 700 Club.

  19. patricia says:

Many homosexual people had been prosecuted, tortured, and killed to death, they also often been badly mistreated in some countries across the world. Pope Benedict is an old man whose his heart is not open enough to the realities of this world.
