Black Friday Shopper Pepper Sprays Customers

Friday, November 25, 2011

A Wal Mart shopper was so hysterical to protect her Black Friday booty that she shot pepper spray at shoppers to keep them from the merchandise she wanted. Twenty people suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

The incident occurred shortly after 10:20 p.m. Thursday in a crowded Los Angeles Walmart as shoppers crazy for deals were let inside to prowl the store.

Police said the suspect shot the pepper spray when the coverings over the electronics she wanted were removed.

He said she was apparently after some electronics and used the pepper spray to keep other shoppers at bay.

Officials said 20 people suffered minor injuries. Parga said police were still looking for the woman.

In Black Friday tradition, Wal Mart remained opened and shoppers not affected by the pepper spray soldiered on.

I blame the media for the frenzy. The local news last night was nothing more than a gluttony of stories about Black Friday shoppers. These retail lunatics started lining up outside the Big Box retailers last Monday, sleeping on the sidewalk so they could be the first inside to buy a TV and save $100. You can do just as well shopping online, avoid the mobs and the pepper spray.

  2. Brigadoon says:

Wal Mart is like every other retailer in America. They have cameras everywhere. If they were really interested in finding the woman who blasted shoppers with pepper spray, all they would have to do is look at the security footage. My guess is, Wal Mart was more interested in making the sale.

  3. Harry says:

It was an X Box the bitch wanted. An X Box caused her to pepper spray shoppers. Obviously, the woman is insane and needs help.

  4. shughes2853 says:

insane – just insane. Who the hell has such an incredible obsession to buy something that they’d do something so asinine? What is the big deal here? Those prices aren’t so incredible that you’d sleep outside a store for gods sake. This is pathetic! The media starts this hype before we even get past Thanksgiving Day and the pressure begins ….we should stop buying into this retail nightmare for Christmas and share the day quietly without the need to buy things to impress other people with money we don’t have. It’s crazy.

  5. Sayingwhatneedsaying says:

We need an immediate ban on all pepper sprays……..

That broad is guilty of assault. PERIOD.

  7. Shayne K. says:

Dumb-ass drama queen. I hope the cops catch her and charge her for First Degree assault.

  8. Estacada says:

    She was competitive shopping.

BTW. I heard she was shopping for a $2 waffle iron — not an X Box. Can you even imagine it? A $2 waffle iron.

  9. Fran says:

    Competitive shopping to gain advantage?
This sounds like an episode of Twilight Zone rathe than real life.
Even if she was waiting for an X box or spendy item, endangering other people (kids too) should be a crime. Sick!

  10. The Real Adam says:

You won’t find me at Wal Mart or any other retailer on Black Friday.

The day after Thanksgiving is reserved for college football and eating leftovers with my family. I have better things to do with my time than go to Wal Mart at 3a.m. to buy a discounted TV or waffle iron.

  11. stradella says:

Three women — presumably sistahs, were arrested at a Best Buy on Black Friday in New Jersey for fighting over the last copy of a $1.99 Madea Goes To Jail DVD.

    I can’t believe this sheyat.

  12. R.J. says:

At least no greeters were trampled to death this season. Yet.
