Come Fly with Me

Saturday, October 1, 2011

Fair goers at the Old Bar Festival near Taree, about 155 miles northeast of Sydney, got the shock of their lives when an ultralight plane crashed into a ferris wheel, narrowly missing two children.

The 53-year-old pilot and his 32-year-old passenger were not injured.

The plane dangled from the structure for hours before its occupants could be rescued using an industrial crane.

    Oh my. That is crazy!

  2. Can you even imagine being on this Ferris wheel at the moment of impact?

  3. Brigadoon says:

The only thing that saved the pilot and his passenger is, the ultra lights fly slow. The impact is akin to a car bumping into another car at 45MPG.

  4. Estacada says:

This is an amazing picture. I’m surprised the pilot and his passenger survived.
