Major props to the Chicago Sun-Times for reporting this story.

Richard J. “R.J.” Vanecko, the nephew of former Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley and current White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley, was involved in an altercation back when Mr. Daley was still mayor.

The 6’3″, 230 pound Vanecko punched 5’5″, 140 pound David Koschman with such a resounding blow that Koschman was knocked to the ground and his head struck the concrete sidewalk. Eleven days later, he died from his injuries.

The Chicago police, on the payroll of the Daley clan, opened an investigation — if you can call it an investigation. Read all about the coverup here, here, here, and here.

When President Obama is finally out of office, either at the end of 2012 or 2016, his security detail, the one he gets for a decade, can be handled by the Chicago police mobsyters and not the Secret Service, thus saving the American taxpayers millions of dollars.

The joke about Chicago is, when a politician dies he has to be screwed into the grave he’s so crooked. As a kid I didn’t understand what he meant but as an adult, it makes perfect sense.

Under Daley, America’s “second city” went bankrupt, public housing became crime-infested rat warrens, and we earned the moniker of the “most stressed cities” in the nation. So goes the Daley legacy.

Of course, none of this mentions the rumors that refused to die of a police force willing to take a bullet for any member of the Daley family and their ties to Chicago’s five largest mafia families.

Chicago’s unofficial nickname is “shakedown city.” This place is like Moscow with better food.

Obama knows how to pick them.

“The missing files wouldn’t have changed that conclusion, the department says.”

I bet the missing file is at the bottom of Lake Michigan.

The Koschman death case confirms the investigation came to a complete halt hours after Koschman was rushed to Northwestern Hospital with a fractured skull. The investigation did not resume for 15 days, or four days after Koschman died. The police aren’t saying, but it’s a safe bet that putting a potential death investigation on ice for two weeks is not standard procedure unless the Daley family is at the heart of the murder.

Richard Daley makes Rahm Emanuel look good by comparison.
