Is Michelle Bachmann a Drug Addict?

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

Reports are surfacing Tea Party queen, Rep. Michelle Bachmann, may have serious health problems and could be addicted to powerful, prescription painkillers.

According to media sources, here, here, here, and here, Bachmann suffers from debilitating headaches so severe that she’s been admitted to the hospital on at least three occasions seeking treatment.

A report Tuesday in the Daily Caller says Bachmann “suffers from stress-induced medical episodes that she characterizes as severe headaches.”

Rep. Bachmann admits to suffering from migraine headaches and her campaign press secretary Alice Stewart told CNN, “Like millions of Americans, Congresswoman Bachmann suffers with migraines and they are under control when treated with medication.” However, Stewart declined to say what type of medication.

But the Daily Caller story suggested a far more serious malady and said Bachmann’s headaches occur once a week on average and “incapacitate” her for days at time.

Of particular concern to some around her is the significant amount of pain medication Bachmann takes to address her condition.

One former campaign aide says Bachmann’s staff is “constantly” in contact with her doctors to tweak the types and amounts of medicine she is taking. Her controversial husband, Dr. Marcus Bachmann, reportedly helps her manage her medications.

All of which begs the central question?

If Michelle Bachmann is taking powerful narcotics to treat the pain of her headaches and, management of her medications require a team effort who includes her campaign staff as well as her controversial husband, then is Rep. Michelle Bachmann fit to serve as this nation’s next president?

The answer is a resounding no!

The only reason this story isn’t receiving more attention from the braindead cable media is due to the coverage of the testimony of Rupert Murdoch and his brat, James Murdoch, today in London. With any hope, once things quiet down in London, the late night comics will pick up this story and CNN, MSNBC and FOX will have to choice but to cover it.

  2. Peace Nick says:

    Makes perfect sense.

Addicts often act cuckoo and say they hear voices and imagine themselves talking to trees, animals, dead relatives and of course, God. Bachmann is spinning downward and out of control. She needs to get into a solid treatment program and stop all this silliness about running for president.

  3. Insouciant says:

The irony is, if Bachmann is addicted to dope, her congressional health benefits will pay the costs associated with seeking treatment at Betty Ford Clinic or Passages Malibu. The majority of addicts don’t have a congresspersons health trough to dip into and get clean and healthy. So they languish and at a time when 98% of U.S. states are broke, where do they go for help paying for treatment? Bachmann is a disgrace and the notion that she’s so arrogant to think she might actually be the next president of the United States is laughable. Maybe her drug-induced haze clouds all reality?

  4. Debbie Banuelos says:

When Crazy Eyes said God told her to run for the U.S. congress, I thought she was certifiable.

But after reading about her addiction to narcotics, coupled with being in a sex-less marriage (she’s married to a closeted gay man), what I now see is a deeply unhappy, even remorse woman lost in the wilderness.

If it wasn’t narcotics, Bachmann would be addicted to alcohol. She needs to dull the pain.

  5. Mets Fan says:

I have zero compassion for this bitch. I hope Bachmann ends up on skid row. She deserves it.

  6. Luana Caroline says:

My guess would be YES, and some very cheap dangerous ones at that, judging from the nonsensical comments, similar to the animal killer, she is prone to making.

  7. Luana Caroline,

Is this what you do, Luana? Troll the blogosphere defending Nancy Grace and Michelle Bachmann?

What’s next for you? A defense of Sarah Palin?

(and that’s even without the drugs!)

  9. Adirondacky says:

Imitrex, the drug of choice for the treatment of migraine headaches in no way requires a team of staffers to constantly call the doctor to “tweak” the medicine for dosage. You take Imitrex at the on-set of symptoms, when you feel the “halo” coming on. If one dose doesn’t give you relief in 30 minutes, you take a second dose. I know because I used to suffer from migraine headaches until my doctor and I determined I was allergic to chocolate. I stopped eating chocolate and the migraines stopped. If Michelle Bachmann’s meds require a team of campaign staffers to help her, it sounds to me like she takes some high dosage narcotics and her problem isn’t migraine headaches in the first place.

  10. Randy Arroyo says:

Speaking of the junkie Michele Bachmann, did you guys hear someone from her campaign roughed up the ABC News reporter, Brian Ross, today? I guess it was the remaining staffer not involved in helping Bachmann manage her headache dope. 😉

  11. Chad Lebanon says:

Drugs + the Bible = Crazy. Those headaches Michele baby is getting is the power of God almighty speaking to her and her pretty head is exploding.

  12. VicoDANIEL says:

    Oh, start the pity party.

Sorry but, I’m not feeling it. Michelle Bachmann made some cruel and hideous remarks about rocker Melissa Ethridge suffering from breast cancer and how this was a teachable moment for her. The implication was clear. Ethridge had breast cancer because she’s a lesbian and she could be cured if she renounced her sexuality.

Fuck Michelle Bachmann. I’m delighted she has headaches.

  13. feminazi says:

Adirondacky hit the nail on the head. I’ve known a number of people who suffer from migraines and they don’t require an army of people to constantly phone the doctor to help them manage the ailment. They take the prescribed medicine and got about leading a normal life. It sounds to me like Michelle Bachmann isn’t telling the truth about her condition.

  14. Matteo says:

I’m not as charitable as many of you about Bachmann. Listen to this audio tape and tell me Michele Bachmann isn’t certifiably insane. I dare you. Suffering from migraines doesn’t make you insane.

    Michele Bachmann is insane.

  15. Joe in Colorado says:

Matteo – Without question, that is one of the creepiest things I’ve ever heard. Bachmann sounds like she’s possessed by demons and I don’t believe in demons. My mother suffered from migraines too and I don’t recall her needing a team of people to help her manage. I remember her taking a pill the doctor gave her and she avoided bright lights. Whatever is wrong with Bachmann goes much deeper than migraine headaches.

  16. Brigadoon says:

I don’t believe in demons either but after watching this video, I do now. Michele Bachmann needs an exorcism and a divorce from her silver daddy husband. No wonder she gets high. She’s trying to dull the craziness that is her existence.

  17. Harry says:

When you’re taking Zyprexa, Seroquel, and Abilify, it takes a small Army to keep it all straight.

  18. ajihani says:

One in 66 Americans is a diagnosed psychotic. In the Tea Party, it’s one out of two.

  19. Marcus Ybanez says:

“When you’re taking Zyprexa, Seroquel, and Abilify, it takes a small Army to keep it all straight.”

ROFL! Good one, Harry! True too.

  20. Estacada says:

Even Karl Rove said: “It’s going to be important for her [Bachmann] to get her doctors out there quickly to provide medical records and to provide the reassurance that people are going to want to have that this is not a serious issue.”

    This story isn’t going away.

  21. fran says:

Great vid Matteo~ Love the closing line:

If you’re gay, catholic or sane…. you might not want to vote for Michele Bachmann.

That clip gets an 11 on the scale of 10 for the creepiness factor!

  22. dave swann says:

Michele bachmann is a crack whore? Cool, let’s elect her president!

  23. Angel47 says:

I do not have a problem with her prayer at all. I did not hear anything about gay people on the audio, that seems to be implied by the pundits. A person’s religion is their choice and should not be downgraded by those that do not believe. However, I would not want this woman near the White House or any other leadership position in the House.

It is not her religion that turns me off, it is the woman behind the mask. She is the same racist person that made racist comments during Obama’s run for President. Her words made no difference then, or now; Obama is President.

  24. Great work here!
