50-Mile Wide Dust Storm Envelopes Phoenix, AZ

An incredible 50-mile wide dust cloud overtakes Phoenix, AZ yesterday. The dust cloud grounded flights at Phoenix’ Sky Harbor International Airport for hours. At one point visibility was zero in this city of four million.

    That’s one of the most unreal looking things I’ve ever seen. It looks like a CGI special effect in a movie about the end of the world.
