There are times I just sit back and scratch my head in disbelief. This happens to be one of those times.
Former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) sat down with the equally creep FOX personality Sean Hannity on Thursday to discuss the Rep. Anthony Weiner fracas. Foley, you may recall, was forced to resign from the Congress in 2006 after he was busted for sending sexually explicit IM emails to male teenage congressional pages.
It came as no surprise to me that Foley doesn’t think Weiner should step down.
But the real corker in the interview is when Mark Foley shares his NAMBLA-like views of the potential legal consequences of adult/child sexual contact.
Hannity calmly asks Foley whether people should “go to jail” for sending explicit emails and IMs like Foley did. Foley flatly states, “No.”
Hannity then asks Foley “Should they be arrested?” Foley replies “No.”
