Obama Will Pick a New Veep?

Thursday, April 21, 2011

Former San Francisco mayor, Willie Brown, says we should expect a political shake up at the highest levels.

As President Obama came-a-calling to San Francisco on Wednesday looking for cash, the City’s former mayor says he expects Mr. Obama will have a new vice president in 2012.

There has been some talk that Obama may replace Biden on the ticket with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Biden wanted State from the start and Hillary as veep would pave the way for her anticipated run for president in 2016.

But Willie Brown sees another power politician filling the void: newly elected Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York.

Brown says:

“He’s a big name, a big-state governor. And a Democrat who is taking on the issue of pubic-employee salaries and pensions. Plus, he looks good.”

That sounds like a good idea. Clinton would be a good choice. But so would Andrews but then again the republicans will try to slime him with his ethnic background.

  2. Estacada says:

Cuomo was just elected in November. He’s not going anywhere.

Now Hillary is a perfect replacement for Blabbermouth Joe. She’s smart and tough and she will kick Barry’s butt, which is precisely what he needs to function. If you look at Barry, he’s hid behind the coattails of strong women since he was a child. Stradella pointed this out about him and I agree with her.

I was very surprised Obama didn’t put Hillary on the ticket back in 2008, as were the HillBots. In fact, I happen to have several Hillbots in my family and they have never forgiven Obama for what they see as the ultimate slap across her face.

Obama is seriously tanking in the polls. Hillary could energize Obama’s reelection hopes.

  4. Rachel says:

I saw the poll that said 50% of Americans don’t think Obama deserves reelection. If his polls keep falling like this as 2012 approaches, I think we should expect a lot changes in that House of O. Certainly, Cuomo or Hillary would attract a lot of media buzz and even win back former Obama supporters who’ve written him off as just a DINO.

  5. PoliShifter says:

I’m not sure I really care. Obama is a Republican and the Republicans have become total corporate fascists. I guess the “lesser of two evils” argument is valid but I’m not sure. Personally I am tired of it all. Nixon was more liberal than Obama as was Eisenhower.

This country is in a sad state and this 3 card monty game that we call elections won’t save us. It will probably come down to Mitt vs. Obama and really, is that much of a choice? ObamaCare is RomneyCare. The corporate masters have it rigged so they win either way.

If Obama wore a party hat and did cartwheels down Pennsylvania Avenue butt naked I would still hold the guy in contempt.

The tax cut deal he worked out with the GOP favoring the wealthy and dropping single payer from the healthcare bill represented the end for this voter. I hope he loses his ass to a Republican. Serves him right.
