President Obama’s celebrated cool seems to have gone the way of Single-Payer, ending the war in Afghanistan and closing Guantanamo Bay.
In a softball interview with Mr. Obama on Monday, Brad Watson, a senior political reporter for News 8 Dallas, asked the president why he’s so unpopular in Texas. Obama replied he had lost Texas “by a few percentage points.” Watson corrected the president and said, “You lost by about 10,” and it went downhill from there.
President Obama, the leader of the free world, clearly didn’t appreciate being corrected by a lowly Dallas political reporter and as he unclipped his microphone, Mr. Obama can be heard issuing a warning, “Let me finish my answers next time we do an interview, all right?”
But the story gets stranger. This afternoon, WH communications director Dan Pfeiffer was asked by TIME, Inc reporter Michael Scherer, “So will Brad Watson get another interview one day?”
