President Pootie Tang Gets His Tax Cut Bill

Friday, December 17, 2010

By a vote of 277 to 148, with 112 Democrats and 36 Republicans voting “No,” the House of Representatives passed President Pootie Tang tax cut package which overwhelmingly favors Americans earning more than $250,000 a year.

The package, brokered by President Pootie Tang and Republican leaders like Sen. Mitch McConnell, angered many Democrats, who have long argued the Bush tax cuts were skewed to benefit the wealthy.

Adding $858 billion to the ballooning Federal deficit, the measure will now go to the White House with President Pootie Tang expected to sign it as soon as Friday. The measure also will guarantees unemployed workers up to 99 weeks of jobless benefits through the end of next year, as well as a 2% reduction in the Social Security or FICA payroll tax that would let workers keep as much as $2,136.

A two year reduction in the FICA tax will short the Social Security Trust Fund by at least $120 billion.

    9bama, the balless wonder………………

  2. I’m very curious to know if the $2,136 FICA savings will be taxed as income?

President Pootie Tang needs to listen to Reagan’s former economic adviser, David Stockman. Stockman said — and I’m paraphrasing, that cutting the richest Americans taxes do nothing to create jobs.

Supply side economics is a failed theory. But President Pootie Tang is a failed president so it’s little wonder he would embrace it as a way to address unemployment in the U.S., now officially at 9.8%.

Obama is such a disappointment. How have we reached this point? Lets revisit the results of the $900 billion dollar tax cut bill in a year. I promise you it will have no positive impact on jobs. Cutting taxes on the elites will do nothing except let them buy another diamond ring or yacht.

  4. Eric Equality Kuntz says:

This is a cynical and contrived attempt on Obama’s part to curry favor with the business community and the uber-rich, so when the GOP tries to order the Articles of Impeachment, Obama can say, “hey, wait a minute, I’m on your side.”

I never thought the day would arrive that I agree with Jim DeMint but I do agree with him. This bill is a mindless, irresponsible and unfunded early Christmas present to the wealthiest Americans at the expense of the people at the bottom.

Obama’s made a new and powerful friend though. Mitch McConnel is Obama’s new go to man on the right to help get things done.

I’m just wondering………… what kind of greeting will our ”Lawn Jockey” President get next month when he enters the Capital to make his State the Union Speech. Will he take any questions? Because I have a good one for him…… Mr. ‘Resident, What does Republican ass taste like?????

  6. MichalTBlasphemer says:

Yes………………… and Mitch McConnell has been going around the town of Washington D.C. proudly displaying his ass, with the imprint of the ”Lawn Jockey’s lips on it.

  7. Rachel says:

The FICA deduction reduction is ominous. When the rate expires Obama and his supporters in the GOP will say, “No new taxes,” and the solution will be cut Social Security benefits. I can’t quite wrap my brain around the contempt this president has for Social Security and the tens of millions of Americans who paid into it and rely on it. Obama is far to the right than Bush was on Social Security. I fear for this country if he’s reelected.

  8. MichalTBlasphemer says:

Time to lynch the “Lawn Jockey”……………….. Do we really have to wait two more years?

  9. Randy Arroyo says:

It rankles me to admit it but, it looks like the Hillbots had Obama’s number all along. They said among other things during the campaign that he is an empty suit, capable of making flowery speeches but scratch the surface and you discover a center-right Democrat, hardly capable of greatness with a streak of conservatism that would make Reagan smile. They were correct.

  10. Jolly Roger says:

Yes, Christopher, it most certainly will be.

The fuckers who thought this out made sure to find ways to fuck over everyone who isn’t filthy rich.

Who schemed up this Social Security “Holiday”…. we already knew Social Security is in trouble anyway…. putting less money in is simply setting it up to fail- at the same time the volume of baby boomers will be eligible to collect payments.
I am dreading the garbage that will be churned out in the next 2 years.

  12. Adirondacky says:

The responsibility of any president is to make sound fiscal decisions that will not imperil both Medicare and Social Security. To see the so-called “payroll tax holiday” short the Social Security system by such a massive sum calls into doubt Obama’s sanity and whether he has a hidden agenda? If the goal it to create insolvency then Obama wins and the American people lose. This is much more radical than anything seen from George Bush.

  13. Brigadoon says:

Today the senate will vote on DADT. The price tag to get the GOP to vote to repeal is $858 billion. Expensive by any measure. The media says we’ve entered a new era of compromise. Really? This is compromise? Looks to me like Obama just tells Mitch McConnell and John Boehner to give him his marching orders and Obama does it.

  14. Harry says:

Socialism for the rich courtesy of President Pootie Tang.
