Good morning. The future isn’t so bright for all of the Tea Party darlings running for office this year. Case in point, New York GOP gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino.
According to a new New York Times poll, Democrat AG Andrew Cuomo is leading Carl Paladino by an insurmountable 59% to 24%, in the race for governor.
Paladino’s recent homophobic comments appear to have cost him dearly: “Some 59% of voters in the poll said that Mr. Paladino did not have the right temperament and personality to be a good governor, while another 55% said that Paladino, lacks the right kind of experience.”
Even worse for the Tea Party favorite: “Only 11% of voters in the poll had a favorable view of Mr. Paladino. When asked what comes to mind when they hear his name, voters offered a collection of negatives, like “angry,” “bigoted” or ‘obnoxious.'”
