Another day, another Vatican attack on the gay community. This is time it comes Pope Benedict XVI’s no. 2 and it is particularly vicious, not mention patently false.
During a visit to Chile, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican secretary of state, who is sometimes called the “deputy pope,” bleated:
“Many psychologists and psychiatrists have shown that there is no link between celibacy and pedophilia, but many others have shown, I have recently been told, that there is a relationship between homosexuality and pedophilia.”
This is a troubling tactic by the Vatican hierarchy.
Because the Roman Catholic Church is embroiled in a global sex abuse scandal involving the rape of children and its failure to defrock pedophile priests, the Vatican has decided to try and hang their albatross on the shoulders of the gay community.
Sorry, Ratzinger but I’m not buying it and if I were a betting man, I would bet the vast majority of the developed world won’t buy it either.

The Catholic church has jumped the shark. There’s no point trying to make sense of their rhetoric now because it is insane. Not just wrong but, insane.
The tactic seems to be that the more you tell a lie, the easier it is to believe. Hardly new for that church of fools, they’ve been doing it since their inception.
The Vatican keeps throwing spaghetti at the wall in hopes a few noodles will stick and then they have their alibi. It’s pathetic and no one is listening. Least of all, Americans and Europeans.
I guess when the “blame the Jews” meme fell flat, Benny and the Jets needed to look for another scapegoat to blame for the Vatican’s failure to address the problem of pedophilia in the priesthood so they returned to a familiar theme: gays.

This No. 2 of the Poop keeps getting it WRONG!!!! It’s the Catholic Church that’s the Pathology! The Most Dangerous disease in all of Human History!!!! Strange isn’t it that this piece of excrement would be call the Poop’s No. 2, though, isn’t it???? You have to wonder, too, if the church is so down on Homosexuals…. why are there so many Gay priests?????

I wasn’t aware the Vatican and its minions were in any way qualified to way in on psychiatric matters? If they were, perhaps steps would’ve been taken 50 years ago to efficiently defrock and remove men from the priesthood who rape children and thousands of innocent children would had been saved.
Wrong again.
The “pathology” is men who have sex with minor age children and this would mean 5% to 7% of priests.
What the Vatican is attempting to do is deflect blame and say they guilty priests are gay. Besides, don’t these guys take a vow of celibacy?

I can imagine the morning conversation as he put this “outfit” on:
“Does this white satin dress with wings and gold buttons and a little beanie for a hat make me look gay?” No wonder they are paranoid about it all….their “masculinity” has been compromised for years!!!
He ought to step down. Enough is enough. The way the church has shut things up is obscene. You don’t suppose this is why they killed JP I do you?! I always thought it was the banks but maybe he was going to blow the whistle on child abuse!
