Sarah Palin Screeches and Brays Her Way Across Nevada

Sunday, March 28, 2010

Sarah Palin brought the crazy to Searchlight, NV yesterday. Searchlight, a tiny mining town is the birthplace of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Reid played a key role in helping President Obama pass his landmark healthcare reform bill.

The former Alaska governor (she quit in order to accept a multi-million dollar job as an analyst for FOX Noise) delivered a rousing, often disjointed speech to an estimated crowd of 7,000, mostly female supporters.

Palin screeched, yelped and brayed for approximately 4 minutes. Predictably, the crowd cheered her every word.

Watch it:

But Palin remains a highly polarizing figure. Overall, 55% of Americans say they view her unfavorably. 85% of Democrats have a negative view or her, while on the flip side, 71% of conservative Republicans sing her praises.

Listening to this video was like someone driving ice picks into my ears and jabbing.

I can’t say I blame Todd for cheating on her. He was no doubt desperate for a few hours away from her voice and delusions.

  2. feminazi says:

None of this so-called “movement” makes any sense to me. Where were these people when Bush was in the White House starting wars while cutting taxes on the wealthy, causing the U.S. to have to borrow from Communist China and Japan? Let’s keep it real. We know what the Tea Party is about: race. They loathe Obama because he’s black.

  3. Mets Fan says:

“Palin screeched, yelped and brayed for approximately 4 minutes.”

Brayed. ROFLMAO! That’s a perfect description of her voice. Bray.

  4. Scott Dancer says:

I heard the video on the national news last night and had to take aspirin afterward to quiet the pain in my ears.

It’s ironic that the majority of Teabaggers hail from Red State America. A region of the country with the most guns, largest number of high school dropouts, the most teen pregnancy, the most poverty, largest percentage of people with no health insurance, the biggest percentage of welfare recipients, the base for country music, the most antigay opinions and where racism continues to be a problem.

I think what fuels the Teabaggers is an awareness that the country they knew and loved, founded by white Europeans on the backs of black and Asian slaves, is slipping away. Conservative, white, heterosexual majorities no longer represent the face of the USA and the Teabaggers can’t accept it.

Palin chirped about “Reagan Democrats.” This term is code for socially conservative whites who live in the south. We all know what she’s itching to call President Obama but, if she did, she would be run off the reservation.

  5. Harry says:

No Glenn Beck? I thought he and Sarah are like the Tea Party’s version of Sonny and Cher or, Steve and Edy?

  6. Michael says:

Can we expect anything less from a hors’s ASS?

  7. Michael says:

    Horses’s ASS

  8. Rachel says:

I refuse to listen to this video. Palin and the attention she gets from the MSM really annoys me. Last night, for the first time in weeks, I watched the ABC Evening News and the Palin circus was their top story. Not the fact that Obama made 15 recess appointments which kinda’ matters but, Palin and her loser followers in Searchlight, NV. I’m over her and I’m done with the MSM.

  9. Estacada says:

All I can say is Scott Dancer is spot-on.

Read Frank Rich’s column today in the New York Times. He writes about the Tea Party and their fear of what he calls “fading whites.” It’s brilliant.

Plus, if you happen to be a Tea Party member, Frank avoids lots of big words, so you can understand too.

  10. Bill Hussein O'Reilly says:

The Teabaggers called the event their “Conservative Woodstock.”

What a bunch of dumb fuckers. No music, no pot, no booze, no sex. Just a lot of aging, uneducated and unemployed flat earthers and Birthers.

  11. Arizona Leatherneck says:

    The Party of No?

    Try, the Party of Dopes.

  12. Jimmy says:

She continues her campaign to drag the GOP further into realm of the racist and homophobic shrieking mob. The nation already rejected her once.

She needs to go on back to Alaska and do what 2nd rate beauty queens do to get by, basic cable.

  13. TOM339 says:

She can deny it until the cows come home but, Sarah Palin and her posse are dangerous, anti-government extremists and I hope the FBI, the Secret Service and Homeland Security is keeping tabs on them.

They’re stirring a potentially lethal stew of violence against elected lawmakers and this will result in a good end.

  14. Matteo says:

Did you read Charles Blow’s piece Friday in the New York Times? It goes straight to what Scott Dancer and Estacada alluded to:

A woman (Nancy Pelosi) pushed the health care bill through the House. The bill’s most visible and vocal proponents included a gay man (Barney Frank) and a Jew (Anthony Weiner). And the black man in the White House signed the bill into law. It’s enough to make a good old boy go crazy.

Holy shit! The New America, where women, blacks and gays have a seat at the table. The Tea Party ain’t having any of it! 🙂

  15. libhomo says:

I love it when Palin attacks other Republicans like Harry Reid. Let those rightist, corrupt nutjobs fight each other to the bitter end.

  16. Idaho Librul says:

This is a terrible thing to say, not mature and not very nice but, here goes.

I adore Sarah Palin! Her mindless blathering is just endlessly amusing to me. I know, I should be shocked and offended but anyone who says humans and dinosaurs co-existed, should go out on the comedy circuit.

  17. JollyRoger says:

I don’t adore the bitch. She’s gonna get somebody killed. Maybe a bunch of people. What she’s doing is reckless to the point of criminal.

  18. Brigadoon says:

Sarah Palin’s petard is the same one George W. Bush took to the bank. Like Bush, Palin figured out how to connect to the White Trash Nation and make them think she’s one of them. A soccer mom. A regular gal who worried about paying bills and putting food on the table. Of course, in reality, nothing is further from the truth. Palin is a millionaire and the only thing she worries about is not getting fat.

  19. Pechanga says:

The U.S. Republican party is the joke of the world with people like Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh as its brain trust.

How embarrassing for them. Of course, they’re too dense to see how foolish they are.

  20. Gleneagle says:

As a parent, Palin’s alleged, conservative Christian values sure did a bang-up job with her unmarried, teenage daughter? The first time Bristol saw a penis, she was on it and pregnant. Well done, Sarah! LOL!

  21. Fran says:

“The Dream of Ronald Reagan lives on…”

Oh yea, financial deregulation worked out really well.

    True blue blooded americans

    workin’ hard
    lovin’ this country
standin’ up for what is right

god has shed his grace on thee… a blessed country, let’s not kick god out.

    restoring balance & common sense??????????

She’s such a windbag, even the flags were flapping.

Now media try to get this right…?????
Telling people to reload is not inciting violence.

Please do sit down & shut up Palin.

  22. Fran says:

    New nickname for Palin–

    the shrillah from wasilla

  23. Palin’s shrill, a hypocrite and doesn’t know the temperature of the room.

But, for someone with few skills, she’s managed to crawl her way out of Wasilla and become wealthy, respected and adored.

    It’s a mystery to me.

  24. JollyRoger says:

As a parent, Palin’s alleged, conservative Christian values sure did a bang-up job with her unmarried, teenage daughter? The first time Bristol saw a penis, she was on it and pregnant. Well done, Sarah! LOL!

Don’t forget about Track. His Konservative Khristian Kounseling parents had to ship him out of state, and then off to the Army, to keep him from doing jail time for vandalism.

  25. Tiny Dancer says:

Glenn Beck still has a prettier vagina.

  26. lea-lea says:

Tiny Dancer — You’re evil and that’s why I like you!

  27. PoliShifter says:

It makes my brain explode to listen to her. She spews so many lies in a matter of minutes that it almost too much to bear.

I love the way it’s just taken for granted now that Obama has brought down “big Government” on us all or how “spending is just out of control” or how “he’s raised taxes”.

Taxes have been cut for most. Obama has been proposing paygo and other spending cuts.

The two big spending things were the stimulus and perhaps the GM bailout.

I love how Palin and the tea baggers pretend the bank bailouts were done by Obama.

Also get really tired of how they conflate the deficit. Yes the deficit is big but that’s because it accounts for war spending.

Under Bush all that war spending was kept off books so we *only* had $600 Billion +/- deficits. With the war spending included under Bush Republicans we were running well over $1 Trillion deficits.

And the debt…ug…it was Bush who doubled it from $5 Trillion to $10 trillion not Obama.

I know I’m preaching to the choir but it just irks me how all these Palin tea bagger talking points being total lies are now taken by fact even by the MSM who fail to bother to refute them when they spew their BS.

  28. R.J. says:

I refuse to listen to this woman. The only reason why she’s still relevant is because 40% of the country loves whack jobs for leaders.

  29. bradfrmphnx says:

She was in town a few days ago barfing out her rhetoric. Lot’s of baggers gettin’ all dewy. Gawd her and McCain were nauseating on the stage. I could take about one minute of it just to reinforce my disgust. Mission accomplished.

  30. Conejo1982 says:

So is that all of them? The 7,000 who followed their queen to the desert in Nevada to hear her chirp?

If that is it — 7,000 in a nation of 305 million, can someone tell me why the Tea Party is the Number One news story on the evening news each night?

  31. ultragreen says:

Well, Palin better not show up in Obama’s home town (Chicago). With that silly talk about “reloading” and “crosshairs,” she’d probably start a riot that would send her speeding back to the airport incognito.

  32. Walk on Socks says:

I’ll tell you what I want to know? Who is the driving force behind Sarah Palin?

She’s not smart, or well read, or learned, or informed so the question for me is, who is writing this crap on her Facebook page, her speech notes, and her Twitter page?

Is it the Alaska Independent Party? Todd? The staff at FOX News? The Aryan Nation? Or, just a team of nameless, faceless handlers? Because one thing is certain, the words she says and the comments behind them do not originate in her brain.

  33. Jacq says:

Haven’t checked out this blog for awhile (okay, TOOOOO long, my bad!) and I don’t think I can say anything better than what has already been said here. To listen to Palin would cause me lose I.Q. points, and well, I’m just not willing to do that. If she ends up running in 2012 and actually wins, I will no longer be an American. I will move to another country and will be completely and utterly disgusted. I felt that way when W got in the second time, but I still clung onto hope.

When I see adds of these Tea Baggin’ Idiots askin’ us how we feel about this ‘change’ that Obama has brought about, I say I still feel fantastic. WHY? Because I no longer have to look at W’s face. Seeing his face, hearing his poorly articulated sentences that he didn’t even come up with on his own made me physically ill on a day-to-day level. Palin is just another windbag who abandoned her post to go on a venture with only one thing in mind: HERSELF. And she didn’t write either of these ‘memoirs’, so I don’t even know why these people are singing praises to her. To pat her on the back because she chose motherhood isn’t gonna happen by me, because she is not like other moms in the world. She has nannies and hired help to raise her spoiled brats. It’s not like she’s struggling working two jobs trying to raise them on her own. These people are uneducated and brainwashed by thinking she relates to any of them. Just another Hitleristic tactic to make the dumb and dumbers of this country swoon. Make it stop! Make it Stop!

Your blog is awesome, and I promise to visit more often.

My name is Jacq and I approve this message.
