Rush Limbaugh: “Screw You, Ms. Sebelius!”

Saturday, October 10, 2009

As the CDC reports widespread outbreaks of the H1N1 swine flu in 37 states and 76 children dying of disease including 16 deaths this past week alone, there’s one rightwing bloviator who is having none of it.

Rush Limbaugh.

In fact, on his radio program, Limbaugh stomped his feet and screaming at  Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, “Screw you, Ms. Sebelius, I’m not going to take it,” for recommending people take the H1N1 flu vaccination which started arriving in doctor’s offices and health clinics this week.

Watch it:

I know it sounds harsh but, if Limbaugh should succumb to H1N1 swine flu, will he really be missed? Not by anyone I know.

I don’t think it sounds harsh at all. Rush is a nasty, vicious man, and he’s a magnet for negativity. If he gets swine flu, well, I think he’s earned it. After all, he’s a pig.

  2. Joe in Colorado says:

Limbaugh is a pussy. He’s the type who will quietly get the H1N1 shot and not tell anyone. Then loudly orate about how he refuses to take Sebelius’ advice and act like a tough guy on-air for entertainment value. Trust me, Limbaugh won’t risk getting sick.

  3. bradfrmphnx says:

That fat bastard won’t be missed by me, that’s a fact. I don’t believe that god is directly involved in our lives…but just this once…please, just this once…please, please, please…I’ll be good, I promise…

  4. Rockync says:

Rush can afford his irresponsible rant; he’s in the age group least likely to be adversely affected by H1N1. But imagine how many parents who listen and BELIEVE in this gasbag may decide to NOT vaccinate their high risk children.
    What an asshole…

Not by anyone I know either including moi.

  6. Rob says:

He’ll be as missed as that gun-totin’ soccer mom who was shot by her husband. Live by the gun, die by the gun.

  7. Crabby Patty says:

Well, if Limbo and his sheeple decide NOT to get the H1N1 vaccine and sadly die of the flu, I guess that’s ONE way to paring down the wing-nut faction. A little bit of Darwin, anyone?

  8. majii says:

It continues to amaze me that there are millions who wait for Limbaugh’s latest rant with bated breaths. I remember reading yesterday on the web that one poster on a rw web site asked the question, “I wonder what Rush has to say about this?”, meaning the bestowing of the NPP on the president. They will stand around watching their loved ones die listening to Limbaugh and waiting on his next hate-filled, ignorant set of instructions, not knowing that Rush will have had a doctor come to his Florida mansion to administer the H1N1 shot to himself while misleading them about the purpose of the shot. All I have to say about these poor delusional fools is that they deserve whatever happens to them for making rw politicians, Fuchs Noose, Limbaugh, and the other rw radio/teevee personalities their own personal gods. The only ones I feel sorry for are the children who have the misfortune to have been born to these idjits.

  9. Arizona Leatherneck says:

Rush is easily intimidated by strong women like the former Kansas governor and current Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius.

No wonder he shrieked “Screw you, Ms. Sebelius.”

Limbaugh was married what? Three times? Four times? And none of them “took.” My guess is, he couldn’t do the deed, if you follow my drift.

  10. Dale L. Suyeishi says:

Rush avoided serving in Vietnam due to “anal cysts.”

I imagine he feels invincible now!

  11. Nobodies Fool! says:

Has anyone on this web site bothered to find out anything about this H1N1 vaccine? I would suggest that you all take a look at how this vaccine has been rushed into production without any of the government testing criteria. How this vaccine has sickened hundreds of servicemen who were used to experiment on. There are numerous articles at the “After Downing Street” website from various sources to confirm what I am saying. It would appear that you all pretty much trust our capitalist system with your health when its primary goal is the ‘bottom line’ and certainly not your health. Limpbag is surely one great big windbag on just about everything he says but before you dismiss this rant of his, do a little back-ground checking before you write this one off. As for me, there will be NO VOLUNTARY H1N1 vaccine for me!

  12. mbmdl says:

    Nobodies Fool!,

To receive or not receive the new H1N1 vaccine is an individual decision and yours alone to make. I understand your concerns. As a Registered Nurse and someone with two teenage kids, I place their safety above anything else and they will receive it later this month, as I will too. If it makes you feel any better, the World Health Organization (WHO), the NIH, the CDC, have all vouched the vaccine is as safe as regular influenza vaccine. The tools used to make is the same tool used in regular influenza vaccine — eggs are used in its production. Mild adverse side effects such as muscle cramps or headache are to be expected in some cases, and a sore arm in the injection site. But let me stress, dead virus shell is used in the vaccine. Only the nasal spray uses a live, but weakened virus. Mass vaccination campaigns against the swine flu virus are underway in China and Australia and there have been no negative side effects from the vaccine. Yes, I do trust the five vaccine manufacturers who are providing the vaccine because the formulation has been shown to be among the safest vaccines that exist. Good luck to you in your decision.

  13. Prairiedog says:

The swine flu vaccine in 2009 isn’t the same vaccine that caused problems in the 1970’s.

For starters, the 1970’s vaccine used live virus. This is almost unheard of today in vaccine production.

The H1N1 vaccine shot is made from dead virus and can’t hurt you.

  14. libhomo says:

I will decline myself. For someone my age and in good health. it’s better to get the swine flu to build immunities for later. Ironically. Rush’s obesity and poor health make part of a population that needs the vaccine.

  15. JollyRoger says:

I know this sounds harsh, but if that fat dope addict piece of shit succumbs to the swine flu, then we will no longer be able to say that there were no silver linings to the epidemic.

Fuck Limbaugh. Only Dog knows how many lives this nasty pedophile has fucked over with his stupidity.

  16. JollyRoger says:

Prairiedog, the H1N1 vaccine is actually live virus.

  17. Hi Everyone,

    Great comments all.

I just wanted to clear up something Jolly Roger just posted about the H1N1 vaccine. There’s a lot of bad information out there coming from the MSM, so I wanted to clear it up.

    The H1N1 nasal vaccine:

The 2009 H1N1 nasal spray vaccine is being made in the same way as the seasonal nasal spray vaccine, but instead of containing three weakened live flu viruses, it only contains weakened 2009 H1N1 virus. (That is why it’ is called a “monovalent” vaccine.). The recommendations for who can get the 2009 H1N1 nasal spray vaccine are the same as for seasonal nasal spray vaccine. LAIV is recommended for use in healthy people 2 years to 49 years of age who are not pregnant.

    The H1N1 Inactivated Vaccine Shot:

A 2009 H1N1 “flu shot” — an inactivated vaccine (containing killed virus) that is given with a needle, usually in the arm. The indications for who can get the 2009 H1N1 flu shot are the same as for seasonal flu shots. The flu shot is approved for use in people 6 months of age and older, including healthy people, people with chronic medical conditions and pregnant women. The same manufacturers who produce seasonal flu shots are producing 2009 H1N1 flu shots for use in the United States this season. The 2009 H1N1 flu shot is being made in the same way that the seasonal flu shot is made.

  18. KayInMaine says:

Ass Limbo is the swine in the swine flu. LOL Seriously, he’s a big fat viral pig infection!

  19. Fran says:

Is Rush opening the door to instant Karma?

  20. i hope rush — when he gets his h1n1 shot (which he will) gets one of those left over 1976 vaccine shots — you know the ones that gave you guillane-barre syndrome

you know viruses are smart little critters – i have a feeling even the flu viruses avoid rush

  21. Jim says:

Another anti-science dope. It would, however, be great to see this drug addict enjoy a case of swine flu. Swine for the swine!

  22. Jill says:

I love Rush and I myself will not get a shot of something (no one knows really what is in it) just because the “Government” tells me to

  23. Bill Hussein O'Reilly says:

Jill – It’s fairly simple to learn “what’s in” the flu vaccine. It contains the same inactivated vaccine flu shots have contained for decades.

But the fact that you “love Rush” probably explains why you can’t find your asshole in a dark room.

  24. Paleoplatonist says:

I am dismayed that there is so much hatred directed at our fellow man: wishing that he die, mocking him for obesity and drug addiction.

I applaud Rush for handing his obesity, overcoming his drug addiction, and for questioning the efficacy of a controversial vaccine.

Why the personal attacks on Rush? He is not part of a conspiracy to kill people by swine flu, nor is realistic to expect the flu vaccine to be able to prevent mass deaths (of Limbaugh followers).

For starters, look at the article “Does the Vaccine Matter” in the latest issue of The Atlantic: http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200911/brownlee-h1n1

Read some of the work of Dr. Tom Jefferson, a world renowned infectious disease expert: http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/333/7574/912

When you disagree with someone, why not wish him the best, and wish that he comes to a deeper, more thoughtful understanding of the human condition?
