FOX’s Liz Trotta: Palin is “Inarticulate and Undereducated”

Monday, July 6, 2009

Ever since Sarah Palin abandoned her constituents and announced she was resigning as Alaska’s governor, things have gone from bad to worse for the former beauty queen.

Fox News’ very own resident shrew, Liz Trotta slammed the soon-to-be-ex Gov. Sarah Palin, calling her “inarticulate and undereducated”. Ms. Trotta also accused her of using “her good looks and her gender to get ahead in the world of politics”. According to Ms. Trotta, Palin brought “the recent attacks on herself.”

Watch:

This weekend also saw Turd Blossom, AKA, Karl Rove, who was an early and enthusiastic Palin supporter, describe her resignation as a “risky strategy.”

What’s better than the sight and smell of Republicans cannibalizing one of their own?

I get the impression that FOX is especially angry at Sarah Palin because they had pinned their hopes on her as the best chance to unseat Obama in the 2012 presidential election.

Now, who do they have? Mike Huckabee? The Mormon? The GOP is toast.

  2. Big Hank says:

Phew! These women are absolute bitches to one another. I mean, vicious.

But I have to admit I am enjoying seeing Sarah Palin get clubbed over the head. She deserves it.

  3. joost says:

What’s so great about Ms. Trotta’s remarks is the “PC” crowd can’t whine about sexism because the diss is woman-to-woman.

  4. Screw Sarah Palin. I reserve my sympathy for someone who doesn’t make rape victims pay for their own rape kits and then have their rapist’s fetuses.

Also, how can this party talk about sexism when it voted almost entirely aganist the Lilly Ledbeter Fair Pay Act with only 3 house members (all male) voting for it?

And why am I still a Republican?

  5. They have been cannibalizing eachother ever since they lost the election. Sometimes, it’s just fun to watch.

  6. Randy Arroyo says:

Ouch! Liz let loose. Palin is full of shit. She’s a legend in her own mind. Somewhere along the line, she got a bloated sense of her own importance but beyond her inner circle and a few GOP idiots like Mary Matalin and Sean Hannity, people think she’s a fool. If she had a brain, Palin would just go away but I don’t think this is happen. I think she has her eye on 2012.

  7. libhomo says:

I think the corporate media finally realize that Osama bin Palin is a detriment to the GOP and are trying to shove her aside.

  8. Adirondacky says:

I agree. As much as I loathe 99% of Republicans, I just can’t accept that Sarah Palin is their great hope for them in 2012 or 2016. Surely, there are more men and women out their with better educations, socially moderate and not an embarrassment to the party for them to run up the flagpole.

  9. watching Buchanan defend her is something you just cannot make-up

between him and kristol and ron christie – all three who think this is a brilliant move (as does Mary Matalin), you have to wonder if someone is not thinking – lets make her the sacrificial moose in ’12

  10. Raffi says:

They say children should be seen and not heard.

Morons like Sarah Palin shouldn’t heard or seen.

  11. bradfrmphnx says:

I’d say she nailed Palin with some brilliant observations. A lot of that crowd is preaching that she can come out of this if she wants to. As if anybody will fund her for POTUS after all these debacles from her. I’m afraid she will be vying for the role of lead bitch on a sled dog team, while training for the iditarod in nylons before too much longer.

  12. Snave says:

Sometimes she and her ilk seem like such a freakish waste of carbon.

I am awfully glad she resigned and seems to be driving a stake through her own political heart.

There will still be money to be made from ghostwritten books and from guest appearances (and possible regular hosting) for outfits like FOX “News”. She will still be near and dear to many of those on the far right, who will worship even more should she find herself indicted for embezzlement or other assorted crookedness.

But the majority of Americans will shake their heads at the mention of her name. They will chuckle, laugh out loud, make insulting comments, as they well should.

She is not the kind of person who will go quietly into the sunset. But we can hope that in a few years time when her name is mention, most Americans will say things like “Oh, yeah! I remember her!”

  13. DMason says:

This may be the first time in my life I agree with a Republican. Liz Trotta is correct. Sarah Palin is “inarticulate and undereducated.” For someone who allegedly has a college degree, there is no evidence of higher learning or intellectual curiosity and even more unsettling about her, there’s a provincialism that is reminiscent of George W. Bush.

  14. GDAEman says:

    Ouch!

  15. I love the Palin bashing, although I disagree with Ms. Trotter’s assertion that the Governor used her good looks for political gain. She looks like a sinewy racehorse in menopausal-ladies wear.
