This is one of the funniest TV ads I’ve ever seen. Yet, the TV suits have banned it for being “too gay.”
What do you think?

This is one of the funniest TV ads I’ve ever seen. Yet, the TV suits have banned it for being “too gay.”
What do you think?
ROFLMAO!
This is a riot! Props to Carls Jr. for trying to run it on network TV. When will the networks stop worrying about 12 housewives in Little Rock?
I love it!
Christopher – You always have the most interesting stuff on your blog. I think this ad is very funny and the guys are adorable. Thanks for posting it.
You mean to say even MTV passed on it?
Give me a break? Those skanky broads they have on those fake reality shows are skeezy in the extreme. There ain’t nothing offensive about this ad.
The networks are cowardly. If they pitched a tepid gay-themed program like ‘Will and Grace’ today, I think producers would have few takers.
It’s ironic when you watch some of the garbage on MTV and VH-1. These programs aren’t clever or creative and they’re pretty mean spirited.
Like Teen LaQueeffa said, the networks that bring us the ‘The Girls Next Door,’ which is essentially an extended pole dance for young straight men and these same networks rejected this Carl’s Jr. ad?

It’s funnier than hell and I’m shocked that no one will run it. On the other hand the only way it would be any gayer is if the sub had on a collar.
Funny ad. I like it. Nothing remotely offensive.
BUT! Looks like a hoax to me…read the bag at the end of the commercial. It says “Cal’s Jr.”, not Carl’s.
Good catch!
I looks like Cal’s. I’ll check AdWeek and see if they have anything on this one.
Wow! I’m straight and that’s one of the hottest ads for TV I’ve ever seen. They say sex sells and it looks like Carl’s Jr. got the message.
That was hysterical!!! Perhaps a bit too gay for mainstream TV. Perhaps Bravo would show it.
Who are the networks worried about offending?
Show me one guy, gay or straight, who doesn’t enjoy getting his cock sucked? That’s the subtext: eating a Carl’s Jr. burger is as good as getting a blow job.
I think it’s brilliant.
Thats hilarious,
I think the tv dudes need to loosen up a little…
Peace brother, M
So funny Christopher I laughed out loud.
I’ve had a lousy week at work. I needed to see this to laugh. Is this commercial for reals? If so, I have a new respect for Carl’s Jr., and a new disrespect for the networks for banning the ad.
Good catch on the “Cal’s”, must be a spoof, but seriously, I find the real Carl’s jr. ads to be disgusting. The latest one is a guy slobbing down a burger, while the paint shop takes off giant word “cheater” spray painted on the entire length of the car, saying he thought having 2 girlfriends was a good idea.
Their other ads show a guy putting a whole avocado pit & skin in a blender, because he is too much of an idiot to figure out how to make guacamole.
Not a fan of their ads.
It’s a spoof ad, but that is freaking hilarious. Someone at Carl’s Jr. should get that on Logo pronto.
HAA! I nearly wept I laughed so hard!
Real or parody but this ad is damned hysterical!
I let out a howl and I watched it twice.
LMAO! One the funniest ever. Thanks for posting this. 😉
Hahahaha! One the best.
fake ad, but nonetheless funny! everything about it, from the name of the burger (messy meat?!?) to the chowing down. OMG, I needed that laugh today!
Heh heh. Is it gay? Certainly. If that had been a woman eating the burger and then the dude came over, it would’ve been one of those MTV shows that everyone has mentioned. It’s a funny ad, plus there’s no dumbass in a king of the burgers costume
That was awesome. Too funny.
But, not appropriate for network TV. And it would not have mattered to me if it had been more heterosexual. There should be no one in someone else’s crotch on a network TV commercial.
Drawdropping…and yes I laughed out loud.
Funny – yes, definitely.
Appropriate for television? Not a chance. Well, maybe after midnight on Spike.
Huh huh… I said ‘spike’,… huh huh….
