  1. it is going to be a bumpy ride – and obama has made some of them already – but it does seem the grownups are in charge

dick and george – march off into the sunset and never ever “grace” us with your poison again as you have done for 8 years.

may you both have miserable and painful lives – and eat shit while you are at it

  2. Joe in Colorado says:

The problems in this country created by the mismanagement of Bush and Cheney run so deep that I don’t Obama will be able to turn things around in one term. It’s going to take two terms. Just look at the economy. If we don’t get a handle on the debt, we’re going to sink.

I just watched the Obamas leave Blair House and travel to St. Johns Church. Michelle is wearing a pretty yellow outfit and Barack is dressed in black. The coverage on CSPAN is great. They just urn on the camera and they don’t blather on and on, like CNN or MSNBC. I have to say, I thought this day might not arrive. I can’t express how happy I am to see Bush and Cheney go.

  4. BradFrmPhnx says:

Almost speechless today. Just really, really happy. The events that will unfold today are what makes our country great. The passing of leadership. The last couple of times I watched with dismay. Today I’ll watch with hope.

  5. Walk on Socks says:

    I feel like I’m dreaming.

The dictator Bush will be back in Texas where he belongs before dinner time and Barack Obama will be our nation’s 44th president.

    It’s a new day!

  6. Ahhh, this air somehow smells fresher now that Bush is right on the doorstep.

  7. Fran says:

PRESIDENT OBAMA ~ Has a nice ring to it. Such a welcome and necessary change. We are getting our country back ! The chokehold of the neocons is over- we can breathe again.
This is a very happy day!

  8. libhomo says:

It is tragic that such an important day for the country was completely ruined by Rick Warren’s participation in it.
