Barack Obama’s pal, the gasbag Rick Warren, really hates bloggers. In this YouTube video, you can hear Warren railing against the Netroots although he’s careful to avoid dissing the Gay.
The fun begins at the 1:50 minute point into the video.

These rightwingers can dish it out but when their intended victims throw it back in their faces, they scream and shout embarrass themselves playing the victim role. Remember Laura Schlessinger? She is the female version of Rick Warren. She bashed gays too, but when the gays turned on her employer she tried to play the victim.
I don’t understand what Warren is screeching about in the video. I mean, he’s a huge narcissist and the coverage he’s received from the blogoshere, albeit nearly 100% negative, is still attention and this is what Rick Warren lives for. He should STFU and sit back and enjoy it.

What I got from it is, here’s a man who wasn’t used to operating in the light of day and now that Obama invited him to give the invocation, suddenly the curtain has been pulled back and everyone gets to see him standing there naked.
Warren, prefers hiding in the shadows.

Man, I can’t believe how badly Obama screwed up on this one. Not cool.
Is Rick Warren Jerry Falwell’s son? They look and sound so similar that I think they must have to be related. Does anyone know?

Eeew! That’s difficult to watch. Very soon Warren will be looked upon as a bigoted relic who was wrong on so many things, and he will be relagated to the same place in history as the bigots who were against integration and interracial marriage.

All you need to know is this: when the talking heads on FOX News cheer Obama’s choice to perform the invocation, it’s a poor decision.
We know it, too bad Obama is too pig headed to admit his error.
Rick Warren liked bloggers as long as they were kissing his fat butt but now that he is being called to account for his homophobia, bloggers have become the enemy.
What the hell was Obama thinking when he reached out to this clown?
Jesusistanis can often be amusing to watch, but we must remember that a measurable number of them are nuts. Spew like Warren’s can whip them into a violent frenzy.

I think Rick Warren is even scarier than the classic members of the religious right like Jerry Falwell because he manages his image with big smiles, soft beards and Hawaiian shirts.
His rant about bloggers is too funny. Warren never weighed in about them until they criticized his views. Typical.
Obama is a deluded idiot if he thinks inviting this lunatic to Washington to perform the invocation will drum up favor with the religious right.
The religious right hates Obama anyway and they’re deeply suspicious of Rick Warren.
Obama needs to think things through better than this.
In the full video message on his website, Warren says he never said that he equated gay relationships with incest, etc.
