59% Think Palin Not Ready for Job

Friday, October 31, 2008

According to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, a growing number of voters have concluded that McCain’s choice of running mate, Sarah “McCandy” Palin, is not qualified to be vice president and is weighing down the Republican ticket in the final days of the campaign.

A whopping 59% of voters surveyed said McCandy was not prepared for the job, up nine points since the beginning of the month. Nearly a third of voters polled said the vice-presidential selection would be a major factor influencing their vote for president.

In a repudiation of his overall judgment, the poll also showed the choice of McCandy has hurt McCain’s image, with voters citing they had much more confidence in Obama to pick more qualified people for his administration than they did in McCain.

I guess I don’t need to tell regulars on this blog but I will feel better if I do.

Please, get out and vote. It doesn’t matter if it’s rainy, snowing or 90′ degrees out — go vote Tuesday.

We can’t get complacent and think Obama has this thing locked up so our vote doesn’t matter. In fact, the opposite is true.

If you don’t vote and McCain wins, the Caribou Barbie will become president at some point in McCain’s first term. Imagine that?

  2. Christopher says:

    Thanks, Nick.

I keep remembering 2004 and the so-called “youth vote” that Kerry had 9 out of 10. When the data came back after the election, only 1-in-10 of these voters bothered to vote.

The rest, as they say, is history. Everyone needs to vote this time around.

As one of my favorite lines in I, Cladius puts is: “Trust nobody, my friend. Trust nothing.”

Damn right. I won’t feel safe until after Nov. 4th.

This time, however, the numbers seem to be on our. Furthermore, McCain’s age, and Palin’s idiocy, is an ominous equation even stupid folks can figure out.

Still, I can’t help but think how different things might have been, if McCain chose a woman who was intelligent and competent like Senator Olympia Snowe. It certainly would have made the election closer than it is now.

Ironically, McCain’s disastrous decision perfectly exemplifies why he shouldn’t be President. On one side, Palin was a big, tasty carrot tossed to the batshit crazy Republicans who believe in the Rapture, Intelligent Design, and the return of slavery. On the other side, McCain also found the idea of a female who wouldn’t suck up to him repulsive.

Think he’s suffering from buyer’s remorse right now? They deserve each other.

    Yes. We. Can.

I feel like I’m in an airplane circling the airport, waiting for our landing clearance. I want to land and get off the plane but, we’re 8,000 feet up and holding. I hate this feeling. Until I get up Wednesday, Nov. 5th, 2008 and Obama’s elected, I won’t be able to relax.

  5. Harry says:

But haven’t you heard? McCandy says she’s now focused on running for president in 2012. She’s a legend in her own mind.

  6. Fran says:

Do you think Governor Palin is ready for the job of Vice President or President?

This is why polls are skewed–
Did this poll also have an answer option that included the response:
    “Are you fucking kidding me?”

  7. JollyRoger says:

She’s not ready to run a Taco Bell. For Sarahpoleon, it’s always been about the attention.

  8. Golfinho says:

i have a theory: she`s making so many mistakes to garanty her future. She knows she`s telling lies and B***, but do it the some way to f*** McCain.

  9. kellybelle says:

What is wrong with the other 41%?

  10. toddyenglish says:

Personally, I think Miss Piggy is prettier…

  11. libhomo says:

I don’t think that “Keating Five” McCain is ready to be president either, given his problems with senile dementia.

  12. Afrit007 says:

Of course she’s ready for the job. She’s over 40, a natural-born citizen, and she’s lived in the United States for over 17 years.

    And she has a pulse.

Oh, and she’s got boobs and a vagina, which is a bonus to the McCain campaign.

  13. Van says:

She might be good in the sack but not in the whitehouse
