Read this!
Nicholas D. Kristof in the NYT’s writes:
John McCain isn’t boasting about a new endorsement, one of the very, very few he has received from overseas. It came a few days ago:
“Al Qaeda will have to support McCain in the coming election,” read a commentary on a password-protected Islamist Web site that is closely linked to Al Qaeda and often disseminates the group’s propaganda.
The endorsement left the McCain campaign sputtering, and noting helplessly that Hamas appears to prefer Barack Obama. Al Qaeda’s apparent enthusiasm for Mr. McCain is manifestly not reciprocated.
“The transcendent challenge of our time [is] the threat of radical Islamic terrorism,” Senator McCain said in a major foreign policy speech this year, adding, “Any president who does not regard this threat as transcending all others does not deserve to sit in the White House.”
The only winner has been Islamic militancy. That’s probably the core reason why Al Qaeda militants prefer a McCain presidency: four more years of blindness to nuance in the Muslim world would be a tragedy for Americans and virtually everyone else, but a boon for radical groups trying to recruit suicide bombers.
John McCain! Al Qaeda’s boy!
Not only does McCain get the endorsement of terrorists, but his Veep pick pals around with convicted felons. Ha!
See, this is what happens when one party has a Manchurian candidate, he uses his secret ties to extremists to discredit a Real Hero® by having said extremists endorse him all while they greatly fear his steady, unwavering leadership in these tough times brought on by weakness and tax-and-spend lie-bruls.
McCain’s Campaign is going down the drain.
He’s not just a Maverick…..
He’s an Al Qaeda Endorsed Maverick!
You know what’s funny?
I read Pravda on-line and I somehow managed to completely miss Nick Kristof’s column. What a hoot!
So, as of last count, I believe Barack Obama is over 200 newspaper endorsements as well as various economists, political scientists, medical researchers and scholars.
At least John McCain can take comfort knowing America’s no. 1 enemy is gunning for him to win the election. What a loser.
You know, the Alqueda endorsements for John McCain makes so much sense. People all over the Middle East and some elsewhere know him as a warmonger. What a great recruiting too he is!
Too damn funny for words. I wonder if the wingnuts will apply their guilt-by-association theory to this? Hmmmm… my guess is “no.”
Al Qaeda endorses John McCain? This election is morphing into an episode of MadTV. The longer it drags out, the nuttier it gets.
Priceless, Dude!
Al Qaeda digs the Old Coot? Gee, so does George Bush, Joe Lieberman, Lindsey Graham and David Patraeus. Douchebags one and all.
Al Qaeda may want to reconsider. That room is beginning to stink of rotting Republican flesh.
So Osama likes him a maverick, huh? I guess that makes sense; in his own way, Osama is undoubtedly considered to be a “maverick” of sorts in his part of the world.
Terrorists love John McCain!
Lieberman loves John McCain!
John Cornyn loves John McCain
Trent Lott loves John McCain
John McCain is to terrorists like Republicans are threats to America.
The Bush Regime’s 2005 National Intelligence Estimate admitted that the Iraq War helps Al Qaida recruit and train terrorists. When you consider McCain wants our troops there 100 years, it isn’t hard to figure out why they want him to win.
