Obama Attracts 100,000 in Denver

Sunday, October 26, 2008

Barack Obama spoke this morning to an estimated crowd of 100,000 at Civic Center Park in Denver.

The massive rally comes just one week after Obama attracted 100,000 in St. Louis, MO.

Colorado — a red state that voted for Bush in the last election, is seen as an important battleground state for Democrats to pick up this year.

Obama enjoys a small lead over rival John McCain in Colorado, 52% – 44%.

These are huge, astonishingly large rallies. Let’s hope all of these people go to the polls on Nov. 4th and vote for Obama.

THis is so great! I’m giddy with all the good news today!

    It’s wonderful.

And what especially brings tears to my eyes is realizing how important it is for this generation of African-American young people to see someone who looks like them succeed in White America without being a drug dealer, athlete or rapper. It is an inspiring archetype that hasn’t be seen before, and it drives racists crazy.

The more I see enthusiastic crowds like this, the harder it’s going to be for the ratfuck Republicans to steal it. It’ll be amusing to watch the empty talking heads at Fox attempt to devalue Obama’s awe-inspiring appearance in Denver. “Oh, it’s a mindless and sinister Scientology-type cult planning the poisoning of our precious bodily fluids!” Meanwhile, a dozen or so supporters show up at a McCain rally because they heard a rumor about somebody giving away free donuts. Wait until they find out it isn’t true. Meanwhile, Palin is keeping busy burning crosses and polishing her swastika.

After Dubya;s reign of terror and callous incompetence, people are finally ready to leave behind the superstitions tribalism that’s dividing this country and step a big step forward into a progressive future.

Can we do it? Yes We Can.

How did I manage to miss this? I turned on the TV news and there was zero coverage of this event. I guess the 100,000 threshold is the norm for Barack nowadays so why even mention it? How wonderful!

  5. libhomo says:

Rachel: You missed it because the corporate media owners wanted you to miss it.

  6. Conejo1982 says:

There is a rumor going around that says Obama will be on SNL next Saturday night.

If true, this is the final Saturday before the General Election and would have maximum impact on voters.

    Fingers crossed!

  7. Sasha in MN says:

Obama camp is so sharp, they’ve been really utilizing these huge turnouts to enlist volunteers at every stop.
