Anchorage Daily News Endorses Barack Obama

Sunday, October 26, 2008

The Anchorage Daily News — the largest daily newspaper in Alaska has stepped over McCandy and endorsed Barack Obama and Joe Biden for president and vice president.

While expressing pride their governor was selected to be on ticket, the paper says John McCain, is the wrong choice for president at this critical time for our nation.

Barack Obama, according to the paper, brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand. The same cannot be said of Sen. McCain.

    How embarrassing for Palin.

Even the hometown paper says thy prefer Obama and Biden over her and McCain.

The Anchorage Daily News joins more than 130 American newspapers who have endorsed Obama and Biden. Sweet!

  2. RainBro says:

    Hi Aunt Peg.

    Ain’t that a bitch?

  3. Buzzometer says:

Palin is just a huge joke. The Anchorage Daily News is just stating the facts.

  4. Joe in Colorado says:

I think both of the Chicago papers endorsed Obama too. The Chicago Tribune is a pure GOP rag, yet they rejected McCain/Palin for Obama/Biden. This is pretty damning when you can’t carry the hometown paper.

  5. Mauigirl says:

Awesome! This says a lot about “the most popular governor” in the U.S.

  6. Idaho Librul says:

    Oh for goodness sake!

I’ve heard the “most popular governor” claim as well and all it means is, the voters of Alaska have their heads up their rear ends.

Sorry to be so crude but, I think this is just so much hype by the GOP.

  8. Thank God. I love Alaska and this finally gives some creedence to the state.

I am so relieved that this is stated at this point in time. She is not the right choice for VP, Governor nor should she be a mayor. The woman is being exposed for what she is, and her turning on McCain was a matter of time. I predicted that would happen from day one…stating he better watch his back! sad day for him when he was bowled over after speaking to her face to face for one hour. How smart is he?

  10. Of course she’s still the most popular governor in the USA or have we all forgotten that the media is run by commie pinko homersexual leftwing fascist babykiller elites?

  11. rastamick61 says:

    sall good

  12. R.J. says:

Nine more days, and all will be well.

  13. Arizona Leatherneck says:

The local political blabbermouths in Phoenix have begun saying the last couple of days that McCain may very well end up losing his home state!

Now, wouldn’t that be some great shit?

Nothing would make me happier than to see him go down in flames and take the Caribou Barbie with him.

  14. HelenWheels says:

Niiiiiice. Even David Frum today completely predicted “game over” for McInsane. LOL!

  15. Harry says:

Have you noticed everyone says basically the samething about McCain and Palin? It’s like, ‘thanks but no thanks.’ Too funny!

  16. Sasha in MN says:

Well someone got moose shit in their blinking eye.
