Wisconsin Dems Strip PUMA Member of Delegate Status

Saturday, July 26, 2008

A taste of what’s to come next month at the Democratic National Convention?

Wisconsin Democrats on Friday ousted a delegate to their national convention for saying she would vote for Republican presidential candidate, John McCain.

Meet Debra Bartoshevich. A 41-year-old nurse and mother of two from Waterford, WI is a former supporter of Hillary Clinton, but after Clinton dropped out of the race, Bartoshevich told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal she would support McCain over Barack Obama.

Embarrassed by a defection in their ranks, the Wisconsin Democratic Party’s administrative committee voted 23-0 to strip Debra Bartoshevich of her status as a delegate to the Denver convention next month.

The Wisconsin Democratic Party did the right thing by stripping this PUMA woman of her delegate status. These Hillbots have a screw loose and have business being in the Democratic party. Especially, in the run up to an election as critically important as 2008.

  2. DMason says:

The Democratic Convention is going to be a real freak show. That’s is my prediction. Various groups are promising to disrupt it and the PUMA kooks say they will block Obama’s nomination, all for the love of Hillary. If the Democrats can’t win in 2008 then, they don’t deserve to exist.

  3. Aunt Peg says:

Is this PUMA woman out of her fucking mind? With supporters like this, it’s no wonder Hillary lost the primary. Her supporters are her worst enemies.

  4. Harry says:

Kudos to the Wisconsin Democratic Party! And I thought the only good thing about Wisconsin was the cheese?

  5. Travelingman says:

There were 25 PUMA’s protesting Howard Dean here in Charlotte yesterday. These crazy people are out of their minds. Get over it already, she lost. If the shoe were on the other foot I would never have dreamed of behaving like they are.

They are like a bunch of petulant children throwing a tantrum. Move on and get a grip on reality PUMA’s it is over.

  6. Aunt Peg says:

    Travelingman is correct!

These PUMA women are poison and I am convinced they are being funded by the RNC to try and hurt Obama’s chances in the G.E.

  7. libhomo says:

I have a feeling that stripping her of her delegate status will backfire. I think it will harden the attitudes of frustrated Clinton supporters.

  8. Idaho Librul says:

The hardened Hillbots won’t be happy until Obama withdraws from the race and Hillary ascends to the throne and that isn’t going to happen.

They remind me of spoiled brats, stomping their collective feet and demanding a better Christmas present.

I’m weary of the PUMA chicks. Grow up or drop dead.

  9. Estacada says:

Obama reached out to Hillary and her supporters. There is nothing more for him to reasonably do. If they decide to support McCain, then see ya, and don’t come a knocking at the door of the Democratic party again. We don’t need them.

  10. R.J. says:

These PUMAs are funded by the Republicans. That’s the only reason why they’re somewhat relevant.

    P: Psychotic
    U: Unprincipled
    M: Matronly
    A: Assholes

  13. Too bad we can’t strip elected/appointed wingnuts of their not-in-jail status.

  14. Dick Small says:

I have no idea what PUMA is. But if she’s gonna vote for “that guy”, well serves her right.

  15. Dick Small says:

… btw, I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but Mister McCain has one of the most impressive “My Little Pony” collections I’ve ever seen. Of course, he swore me to secrecy about it, but you know me….

  16. Rachel says:

Dick: PUMA is an acronym for P.arty U.nity M.y A.ss. It’s a rag-tag band of vocal, disenfranchised Hillary supporters who steadfastly refuse to support Barack Obama. Like Idaho Librul said, they’re more like spoiled children than adults. They need to be spanked and sent to their room without dinner.

  17. Dick Small says:

    Ah. Poor losers…

  18. She SHOULD be stripped of delegate status. Voting for the other camp just AIN’T in the rules, and btw, what a frikking doofus.

Nevertheless, do a google search on “zaiusnation” and “PUMA” and look at what the good Dr. has found and has to say. I think you’ll end up agreeing with me that this whole foolish PUMA thing is an RNC ploy. Fuckers.

I believe you’ll find the actual number of REAL democrats who previously preferred Clinton are firmly in the Dem/Obama camp. The latest Latino polls cinch that idea as far as I’m concerned, and beyonf women, that was the hardest Clinton loyalty nut to crack.

    So PUMA?

  19. Randy Arroyo says:

Agreed! PUMA members need not apply and they certainly don’t belong in any state Democratic party like some God damned double agent working to defeat the party. Weed them all out immediately and stop sucking up to the Hillbots. Obama has extended an olive branch and if they don’t want to take it — fuck em.’ Their importance has been vastly overrated.

  20. Jim says:

Good for her. Perhaps her children will be fighting in the coming years in McBush’s 100 year war with Iraq.

  21. Sasha in MN says:

This PUMA twit said she couldn’t vote for someone she felt “ignored” her, how ironic for someone who “ignored” the party guidelines and admitted never bothering to read the rules in the first place and excused her ass because she was a first time delegate and was in a highly emotional state when she blabbed she’d vote for McCain. McCain can have her and the PUMA posse…also she said her sister a McCain supporter signed her up on “Citizens for McCain.” not her and she deserved to go to the convention for all the hard work and time she put into Hillary’s campaign. (Must be why she didn’t have time to read party guidelines)
Continuing to playing the poor, helpless, innocent, self pitying victims runs rampant w/ HRC supporters.

  23. Idaho Librul says:

To say you’re a state delegate and then proudly announce to the media that you have no intention of supporting the nominee, suggests you have a screw loose.

But this is the type of behavior we have seen all too often among the radical PUMA crowd. Their blind adoration of Hillary Clinton, informed by a deep rooted racism fueled during the campaign by both Bill and Hillary Clinton, creates a form of lemming behavior not seen since Charles Manson’s followers crawled out of their coffins.

They’re a terribly sick bunch and they need help.

  25. GCF says:

Perhaps an ill-advised comment on her part, but the comments here suggest that anybody that disagrees with Obama is either a crazed Hillary supporter, or a tool of the RNC.

What ever happended to free expression and the exchange of ideas? These kinds of comments are worse than any attack ads. Just hang out a sign that says “free thought not welcome.”

These kinds of attacks on anyone who dares disagrees with the annoited one are mob politics. When are we going to start to “necklace” the opposition or start using ZANU-PF campaign strategy?
