I am a proud, openly gay man, and former lifelong Democrat who left the party in response to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Harry Reid’s failure to stand up to George Bush and bring the Iraq war to a close.

I am now a registered Independent.

I began blogging in response the destructive policies of the Bush administration. Their blatant contempt for the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights was my call to action.

During the 2000 presidential campaign, George Bush said he was ”a uniter, not a divider.” After 5 activist, banana Republicans on the Supreme Court decided the election, the American people (and the world) realized Mr. Bush was no uniter. In fact, dividing the American people is the source of his strength – it appeals to the very worst instincts of prejudice and privilege.

Blogging is the most powerful information currency of the 21st century and as a result, “the blogs” have become a dominant force in our political process. No wonder the braindead mainstream media, as well as many conservative lawmakers, try to marginalize us. They realize that contained within our power is their own irrelevance.

I am committed to helping defeat Republicans and getting liberals and progressives elected to local, state and national office.

I am happily “married” to my same-sex spouse of 15 years. We have one dog, Ginger. We reside in beautiful Upstate New York.
