GLAAD, America’s leading gay Uncle Tom organization, will honor Bill Clinton with its Advocate for Change Award.

Despite signing both ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ (DADT) and the Defense of Marriage Act, (DOMA), cowardly actions designed to save his sinking presidency by throwing the gay community under the bus, Clinton will receive the prize from the champagne queers on April 20, 2013 in Los Angeles.

Scheduled to appear is Leonardo DiCaprio, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, NeNe Leakes and Thomas Roberts.

Clinton’s recent reversal on DOMA came courtesy of a Washington Post op-ed, that urged the U.S. Supreme Court to throw out the ban on same-sex marriage however, most noticeably absent in Clinton’s the op-ed piece was an apology for being a spineless punk.

  1. I’m with you. Recognition for the biggest speed bump in the progression of civil rights for LGBT Americans should necessarily be honored by those same Americans. Methinks there is an ulterier motive lurking beneath the surface. (i.e. Hillary in 2016?)

  2. Peace Nick says:

Of all the people in the USA who might deserve an award for virtue and recognition, the man who signed the most sweeping, antigay laws in history, William Jefferson Clinton, is not that person.

    Shame on GLAAD.

“Clinton will receive the prize from the champagne queers on April 20, 2013….”

ROFLMAO! Champagne queers. Perfect visual. I noticed the top price for a table is $25,000. Who has this kind of money when unemployment is 8%?

  4. Harry says:

What’s next for GLAAD? Honoring Kim Kardashian for having a gay best friend? Ridiculous.

  5. Rendaculous says:

I’ve never comprehended the love affair the gay community has for the Clintons. Chelsea seems cool and smart, Hillary seems 1,000% more decent than Bill. Next up we will be see PETA is giving Bill an award because he became a vegan. These groups have highly questionable criteria for awards.

  6. Randy Arroyo says:

It’s like Jews in a concentration camp giving a prize to their captors.

  7. DMason says:

I think GLAAD could be using Bill Clinton to raise big $$$ for the organization’s coffers. Little $5 and $10 dollar contributions can only go so far. Like ChiTOM said, a table is $25,000. If they sell all of them GLAAD will be rolling in the dough.

  8. Champagne queers? I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. Good one!

  9. Joe in Colorado says:

Has GLAAD bothered to explain what Bill Clinton did to deserve this award? Just because he now says it was a mistake in judgment on his part to sign DADT and DOMA isn’t sufficient in my mind to receive a prize. Sorry Bill but, you’re a damned sell-out.

  10. Mets Fan says:

The problem I have with these organizations is their outreach seems genuine until we see their president featured in some swank magazine and the accompanying article reveals they are getting paid $400,000 a year as was the case with the Human Rights Campaign and Joe Solmonese. He served for 7 years which means he sucked nearly $2.5 million from donors. Personally, I think salaries in this range are outrageous. I don’t know how much GLAAD is paying its president but I’ll bet it is easily as much as Solmonese was paid. I don’t want my donations to subsidize these people and this is why I stopped all donations.

  11. fran says:

What next? G W Bush getting a Human Rights defender award??

  12. Jim says:

And if it benefited him politically, he’d throw gay people under the bus again tomorrow. A true politician.
