Speculation about Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s political future is a parlor game that never seems to end. Will she run for president in 2016? Or, as she’s said dozens of times, she’s through with politics and plans to never run for office again.
However, the speculation got a shot in the arm when Bill Clinton weighed in on the subject during an appearance on Face the Nation.
Clinton said told CBS’s Bob Schieffer, “I doesn’t know” whether Hillary will run for president in 2016 adding that she wants to take some time off and regroup after she wraps up her tenure as the nation’s top diplomat in 2012.
“You know she’s worked hard for 20 years. We had eight years in the White House then she ran for the Senate, she served in New York for eight years then immediately became the Secretary of State, and she’s tired. She’s really worked hard. I think she’s done a fabulous job. I’m very proud of her. But she wants to take some time off, kind of regroup. Write a book. I hope we’ll be working together.”
I know playing the ‘Hillary Game’ is fun and irresistible but, I have an idea? Let’s get President Obama reelected in 44 days. Then, we can set our sights on 2016.

Hillary would make an excellent president but until I hear the announcement from her mouth, I won’t believe it. The 2008 primary was tough — tough on anyone and I can’t imagine why at 69 years of age, which is how old she will be in 2016, Hillary would want to go through it again.
Hillary is the one Democrat who puts the fear of God in Republican scumbags like Mitch McConnell and John Boehner.
She knows where all the bodies and buried and where the GOP dirty laundry is hidden.
A Hillary Clinton presidency would be such a boon for the USA. I can see her asking San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro to run as her vice president. Talk about a power ticket!
Speaking of 2016, did you guys see this?
For Ambitious Governor, a Clinton Stands in the Way
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/22/nyregion/cuomos-presidential-dreams-and-a-clinton-in-the-way.html
Mr. Cuomo, a man who likes to determine his own destiny, faces a variable beyond his control: Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Creating frustration for his inner circle, as Mr. Cuomo considers a 2016 campaign for the White House, the eyes of his party are fixed on Mrs. Clinton, whose already sky-high stature among Democratic activists was enhanced by her husband’s crowd-pleasing speech this month at the party’s convention in Charlotte, N.C., and who can count on broad support if she decides to run.
She’s got my vote in 2016!
She had my vote in 2008, she’d have it again in ’16.
Expect the Republicans to try and hang the Muslim unrest in the Middle East on Hillary if she runs.
Even though she’s worked tirelessly to quell the festering, anti-American sentiment in a part of the world still stuck in the 6th century. Hillary’s to blame.
I think feminazi hot the nail on the head. Why go through a campaign at age 69? Stay home, read, write, get fat, teach a course at Columbia and be a grandmother. Hillary’s earned it.
Hill’s got my vote if she runs in ’16. But please cut that long hair! It’s haggish.
I think Bill is more interested in another term than his wife.
