Hilllary in 2016? Pelosi Thinks So

Monday, June 4, 2012

“Why wouldn’t she run? She’s a magnificent secretary of state. She’s our shot.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tells the San Francisco Chronicle how she is “upbeat about the prospects for a female president in her lifetime, namely her friend Hillary Rodham Clinton.”

  1. Joe in Colorado says:

If after a few years rest, her expected book and perhaps teaching a class or two at NYU, we see a refreshed and thinner Hillary around, say, 2014, with hair more stylishly short, then I expect she is interested in one more round at the presidency. However, it’s still too early for me to believe it.

  2. Marcus Ybanez says:

Hillary will be 69 years of age in 2016 — the same age Ronald Reagan was when he was elected.

The anti-Clinton crowd can’t cite her age as a reason to disqualify her from running in 2016 if she decides to give it another go. Although, I’ve heard her say she hopes to be a grandparent by then, and being a grandparent sounds like a lot more fun than running for president.

  3. feminazi says:

Everyone from Paul Begala, to James Carville, to Nancy Pelosi, is persuaded Hillary Clinton will run for president in 2016. The only person not persuaded is Hillary. She says “no”, it won’t happen but the true believers just won’t let it go.

  4. The Real Adam says:

Hill has the smarts and the CV. There is no question she’s prepared to be president.

Plus, as a longtime Washington DC insider, she knows where all the bodies are buried and best of all, GOP ghouls like Mitch McConnell and John Boehner are terrified of her.

  5. Estacada says:

The Tea Party hates Hillary and Bill Clinton even more than they hate the Kenyan currently in the White House. They’re batshit crazy and will never allow Hillary to be elected our next president.

Until the Dumbos figure a successful way to kill-off the Tea Party, the DNC will need to get used to having their political agenda set by the party opposite.

  6. Mets Fan says:

The Democrats need to begin finding young, electable men and women who they can successfully run for president. I like Hillary and U think she would make a great Commander in Chief but, why are we always looking back?

We need to start looking forward.

  7. Randy Arroyo says:

I will be very surprised if Hillary hears the call and runs in 2016. She’s moved past the so-called “fire in the belly” candidates are said to need to run for president. I think she would have a great chance but I think that ship has sailed.

  8. We just uploaded an interview with Minority Leader Pelosi where she yet again endorses Hillary Clinton — it’s safe to say we’re excited about 2016!
