To commemorate the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks on America, Oklahoma Rep. Sally Kern doubled down and insisted homosexuality is far more dangerous to America than terrorism, according to media watchdog RightWingWatch.org.
The 64-year-old heffa actually tried to argue her comments were taken out of context and twisted by the media. Kern is whoring her new book The Stoning of Sally Kern, in which she discusses the criticism she received for opposing gay rights.
During the radio broadcast, Kern, the wife of a Baptist minister, attempted to explain her earlier remarks.
“You know if you just look at it in practical terms, which has destroyed and ended the life of more people? Terrorism attacks here in America or HIV/AIDS? In the last twenty years, fifteen to twenty years, we’ve had maybe three terrorist attacks on our soil with a little over 5,000 people regrettably losing their lives. In the same time frame, there have been hundreds of thousands who have died because of having AIDS. So which one’s the biggest threat? And you know, every day our young people, adults too, but especially our young people, are bombarded at school, in movies, in music, on TV, in the mall, in magazines, they’re bombarded with ‘homosexuality is normal and natural.’ It’s something they have to deal with every day. Fortunately we don’t have to deal with a terrorist attack every day, and that’s what I mean.”

Hmm. I would be willing to bet $100 that her minister husband regularly rants against homosexuality from his pulpit. Fine, if that is true then I won’t ever darken his church door.
I think there are much larger issues than that she should be focused on, such as… oh, drug use, for example. In my worldview, drugs are a much larger threat to the broader society than homosexual behavior ever will be. Perhaps this ignorant bigot should do a bit more to educate herself as to what constitutes a real danger than letting her religion-based bias blind her to reality.
I will be retiring in the near future and it is my intent to return to Oklahoma at that time. When I do, Rep. Kern can rest assured I will always vote against her and any other politician who spouts such ignorance.
For the moment, I will sit here in front of my computer and wonder how the hell she ever got elected in the first place.

While a serious, manageable but still incurable disease, HIV AIDS isn’t in the top 15 causes of death for the U.S., according to 2010 CDC morbidity data. The top causes of death according to the CDC remain heart disease, cancers and stroke. So Kern conveniently glosses over the fact cigarettes pose a great threat to America than HIV AIDS or terrorists. I have an idea for Kerns? STFU!
