Texas Gov. Rick Perry is Running for President

Thursday, June 2, 2011

Here is Texas Gov. Rick Perry appearing on James Robison’s “Life Today” television program last month. For the uninitiated, “Life Today” is a TV evangelical ministry based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Strangely enough, James and Betty Robison actually do good work. Through donations, their Mission Feeding program feeds 500,000 heartrendingly poor children in Africa.

But I digress. Gov. Rick Perry appeared on “Life Today” and drawled on about how our current economic problems are happening for a reason: so that America will return to Biblical principles and free us from our slavery to the Pharaoh government.

I’m calling Gov. Rick Perry appearance on James Robison’s “Life Today” the unofficial start of his 2012 presidential campaign.

  1. Rachel says:

Have you noticed Rick Perry has dead eyes? He looks like a zombie in a Brooks Brothers business suit and the carefully coiffed hair is a riot. This queen uses more Aqua Net on that hair than my 93 year grandmother. What do the people of Texas see in him?

  2. okjimm says:

Texas, since 1976, has led the nation in executions.

//America will return to Biblical principles //

compassionate Perry has signed 200 of those death warrants.

“God Bless America, Pass the Gas, please”

  3. DMason says:

Rick Perry will NEVER win the Republican nomination. The albatross that haunts him is his idiot calls to secede from the Union. This sort of rhetoric may play with the anti-Washington, rightwing hillbillies in rural Texas but in the more urbane, sophisticated suburbs of Dallas and Houston, Perry is viewed for who he is: a career politician who got where he is courtesy of George Bush. Perry will always be a state politician.

  4. The Real Adam says:

What the fuck is Perry talking about?

The “Pharaoh government?” I thought the Pharaohs were in Egypt. Now they’ve moved to Washington DC? Does Cairo know this?

  5. Debbie Banuelos says:

I bet Rick Perry is exactly like John Edwards. He spends $400 on haircuts and travels with a hair person to get those pretty curls just flawless around his wrinkled face.

    I agree. He’s a creep.

  6. Sayingwhatneedsaying says:

Rick Perry should be forced to go through a retro-active abortion!

  7. Peace Nick says:

Wait till this Texas douchebag has to admit to the people who voted for him that the state of Texas is in debt more than $16 billion dollars.

Perry got away with lying about this because Texas is only required to pass a budget every other year. How can you run a state as large as Texas like that? Most states would not be able to pay their bills.

  8. Jolly Roger says:

I noted Guv Goodhair’s sniffing around a month or so ago. It’ll certainly be interesting if he does run, but I suspect the establishment has settled on Mitt, so he’ll also have to clear that hurdle. That, and Texas will be in a state of fiscal collapse by then.

  9. Brigadoon says:

Outside of Tejas, this clown will crash and burn like a comet hitting the earth.

  10. fran says:

What a jerk! Practice what you preach Perry.

    Some quick Texas stats:

    Texas revenue: $167,2679, 044, 300
    Spending $264,119,400,935

    Debt per citizen $10,601

    Food Stamp Recipients: 4,349,716
    Unemployed 949,026

Too bad this chart & it’s number were not whizzing by behind his head as he blathered on about not spending all the money.

This guy has an eerie resemblance to St. Ronnie Reagan.
    Ewwwww!

  11. Hey Real Adam,
He said exactly what he said… Didn’t you hear what he said you stupid moron? He said we have became slave to the government LIKE THE ISRAELITE BECAME SLAVE TO PHARAOH AND THE EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT. Naturally, I wouldn’t expect a libtard moron like you to know their history…

  12. Hey Rachel, No offense but you probably meant your grandmother’s dead eyes. You are just another libtard speaking what things that you know nothing about. maybe you can ask “THE FURHER” your god OBAMA to send you to school to get that free education that I am paying for anyway cause you to lazy to get out & work for your money. and maybe you just might learn something about how this country was really founded upon. you had to work hard to get what you wanted & that nothing was free. America was founded as a Republic. AND DON’T YOU FORGET IT.

  13. “The Hand of providence has been so conspicuous in all this, that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations.” George Washington’s letter of August 20, 1778 to Brig. General Thomas Nelson

“Almighty and eternal Lord God, the great Creator of heaven and earth, and the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; look down from heaven in pity and compassion upon me Thy servant, who humbly prorate myself before Thee.” George Washington’s prayer at Valley Forge

“I am a real Christian, that is to say, a cisciple of the doctrines of Jesus. I have little doubt that our whole country will soon be rallied to the unity of our Creator.” Thomas Jefferson wrote on the front of his Bible.

“The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: ‘It connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.” President Adams, July 4, 1821

“The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were…. the general principles of Christianity.” — John Adams in letter to Thomas Jefferson, June 28, 1813

  14. And you think it strange that Perry talks about God? So, I ask who is really the moron? Seem like someone didn’t pass their history lesson. Naturally, I understand that this was not taught in the schools like they should because libtards doesn’t want to acknowledge the fact that America was founded upon a Republic and not a democracy. These men understood the principle in which they believed in and what they wanted this country to be. When we hear of a politician like Perry speaking about God or whatever we are quick to judge him as he’s some radical person. So, you make uneducated attacks on things that you know nothing about. Grow up! If you don’t like it when a politician talks about God then that’s your choice. I don’t want to hear you cry and complain because I quote ” My feelings are hurt or I am offended”. Unquote, do me a favor and grow up! Grow up!
