“Thank you for being a friend……”
Here’s one more reason to adore Betty White. The 88-year old comedy legend supports gay marriage! Here’s what she told Parade Magazine:
“I don’t care who anybody sleeps with. If a couple has been together all that time – and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones – I think it’s fine if they want to get married. I don’t know how people can get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.”

Love Betty White! Always have. I especially like the fact she made these comments in Parade so people in middle America will see them. Very shrewd!
Isn’t she a hoot?
I’ve adored Betty White since ‘Mary Tyler Moore.’ She is the last of a certain generation of comedian/actors we will never see come along again.
And BTW, Ms. White would whoop Maggie Gallagher in the Octagon with her hands tied behind her back!
I’ve always loved Betty White and this just makes me love her even more.
Betty White has more common sense than Barack Obama.
Rose Nieland in support of gay marriage!
I bet there will be gay weddings in St Olaf soon.
You go Betty White.
Betty White is a gem. I remember her back years ago on Johnny Carson when he was still in New York. The fact that she’s so in-demand at 88 years of age, says something about her talent and the love the American movie goer has for her.
Thanks Betty, this coming out on the day I married my wondefrul husband in Connecticut. I am thankful you said something in support of same sex marriage.
