He’s baaaaaack! Or, did he ever go away?
After nearly derailing Barack Obama from reaching the White House, in an exclusive interview at the 95th annual Hampton University Minister’s Conference, Rev. Jeremiah Wright told the Daily Press:
“Them Jews ain’t going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office. They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is. I said from the beginning: He’s a politician; I’m a pastor. He’s got to do what politicians do.”
Wright also said Obama should have sent a U.S. delegation to the World Conference on Racism recently held in Geneva, Switzerland, but that the president did not for fear of offending Jews and Israel.

“Them Jews?” Is Jeremiah Wright stupid or just an anti-Semite or both? I’m so weary of people of faith using the bull pulpit to divide people and groups. Obama needs to choose his spiritual leaders more carefully. This also means sucking up to people like Rick Warren.
Wow! If Wright had said this during the primary you can be certain, Obama would have had a real mess on his hands. FOX News would have put this on a 24/7 loop and played it during NY Yankees games. You really have to wonder what is wrong with Rev. Wright? Did he say things like this when Obama sat in the pews every Sunday morning?
No, Brother Jeremiah. You got it wrong.
It ain’t “them Jews” keeping you from seeing your old friend, President Obama. It’s your damned mouth and hatred that makes you a liability. You are no better than that punk who killed the security guard at the Holocaust Museum yesterday.
Man up, Jeremiah. It’s YOUR fault.
It’s been my experience that people who hate Jews usually hate gays, too.
Hate groups rarely target a single target.
I am surprised to see Wright’s comments. Even if he believes this nonsense, Obama is his boy and he had to know the media would eventually get wind of what he said.
This blog is the first source I’ve seen report it. I appreciate you publishing it.

I read this yesterday and was, and still am, outraged at Wright’s statements. He’s acting like a spoiled a$$. Just the idea that he thought that since he’d been Obama’s pastor, he’d have an open invitation to the WH. What outrages me most is that he wants to blame the jews in the WH of blocking his access to the president. If Obama wanted to see him, I’m sure he’d arrange it. As a fellow African American, I can truly say that he has made an a$$ of himself for all the world to see. I hope he stops calling himself a Christian and a minister because his statements and behavior sure don’t illustrate these characteristics. IMHO, he is just a delusion, bigoted old man.
sorry: delusional
Reverend Wrong never seems to get it Wright!
“Reverend Wrong never seems to get it Wright!”
Good one Fran!
Obama certainly should have sent a representative to the anti racism conference, but Wright hurts his case with all of his own bigoted comments.
just another hate filled preacher — they are on the left, the right and the center — they all just suck (almost all)
