Rev. Art Cribbs, of the 60-member San Marino Congregational United Church of Christ announced Friday that he would no longer perform straight wedding ceremonies in California until the state’s ban on same-sex marriage is “repealed, overturned or corrected.”
Props, to Rev. Cribbs.
Speaking to a small group of church members and supporters near Pasadena’s Superior Court building, Rev. Cribbs said, “I have the support of most of the congregation. Our church is involved in justice issues, and we are against discrimination. I personally have known the pain of rejection.”

Makes sense to me. Fair is square.
Me too. The religious need to clean their house, and those who don’t agree with the mormons and evangelicals need to speak up and marginalize the fuckers.
About time. And I say this as a civilly married human being.
Make perfect sense to me. If all, loving, adult couples in a committed relationship can’t marry, then no one should be allowed to marry. When I was 17 and 18, I wanted to get married more than I wanted to go to college. Now, at 33 year of age with college and life experience under my belt, I am not in such a hurry to marry. Not as long as my gay friends and family members aren’t permitted to codify their unions.
I’ve got one better. No more SECOND marriages for those “traditional” marriage defenders. None. No exceptions.
Makes sense. It’s strange that most of the people so opposed to gay marriage seem to have little respect for hetero marriage, judging by the divorce numbers.
