It’s Over, Norm

Sunday, January 4, 2009

The saga known as the Minnesota Recount is winding down.

Democrat Al Franken won a majority share of what may be the last ballots tallied in the U.S. Senate recount of his challlenge to Republican Norn Coleman, with Franken boosting his unofficial lead to 225 votes. The state Canvassing Board is expected to certify the result Monday.

While Coleman’s attorneys have used various legal avenues to try and block Franken from becoming Minnesota’s newest U.S. senator, the fact of the matter is, this race is over, and Norm Coleman needs to graciously concede.

It’s over, Norm. You lost. Now scram.

I just read TX senator John Cornyn said he will try to block Franken from being seated if (when?) he shows up at the US Capitol to take his position as the newest senator from Minnesota. What does Cornyn think he’s going to do? Order the Capitol police to block Franken from entering the building?

  • What a fiasco! Double digit lead? Besides if congress needs anything….. it needs a comedian!

It isn’t up to John Cornyn to decide who gets to sit in the US Capitol Chamber. If Cornyn tries to play tough cop, it is Harry Reid’s job to bitch-slap him. Isn’t Reid a former boxer? OK then tough guy, put on your gloves and grow a pair.

The Minnesota Supreme Court can step in and stop this insanity of they’re so inclined.

After all, the new 2009 Congress begins to work on January 21st, I believe.

The people of Minnesota deserve to have this race settled and their business considered.

  • If Reid stands up to Cornyn, I’d be shocked. He can’t stand up to his own shadow.

  • I doubt that Norm Coleman, who owed his term in the Senate to the assassination of Paul Wellstone, will do anything graciously.

Yeah, I had forgotten about Paul Wellstone.

He was a good man. A real American patriot and they offed him. Just ask Karl Rove about how and who made this happen.

If we learned one thing about Repugs it that they’re sore losers. They refuse to accept defeat — even when they’ve had their asses handed to them. They will do anything to avoid losing.

Five months after the election, I feel it is way past time that the extremely egotisical Norm Coleman finally act like a human being and concede. Due to his frivilous legal requests to drag out this contest he or the RNC should responsible for the payment all of the legal bills he has incurred.

What can we do to speed the exit of Michelle Bachmann from Congress? With her continual acts of lunacy, inflamatory and anti-American tirades, she is certainly not worthy to be a sitting Congressperson!!!

  • time to go to storage room b, norm. you’re toast.
