Potential vice presidential nominee Mitt Romney is the latest Republican to defend John “9 Homes” McCain, accusing Democrats on Wednesday of playing “the politics of envy” in recent ads and speeches.
This is getting downright bizarre.
“I understand the Democrats are trying to use the politics of envy and I don’t think that works. The politics of jealousy or envy or a sense that somehow we’re going to be less likely to vote for someone because they’ve achieved economic success.”
Romney, a Mormon, whose own wealth is estimated at up to $250 million and who owns at least four homes, noted that past Democratic presidents, Franklin Roosevelt and John Kennedy were also wealthy.
However, Romney inserted a new Republican talkingpoint to explain McCain’s nine homes:
“I think growing up as a military brat, traveling around as a soldier and even being homeless for five years, in a prison, the notion that he is somehow above the American people is going to fall flat.”
McCain was homeless? I guess McCain just forgot to include this factoid in his autobiography.

Shut up, Mitt. Just shut the fuck up. I don’t think Mitt Romney has any cred when it comes to discussing the needs of average, working Americans. The last thing I want to hear is the bloviating of an uber-rich Mormon. Fuck off.

Well this changes everything. All those railroaded by our ridiculous justice system into prison for smoking a joint or a juvenile offense due to socioeconomic status or race aren’t violent thugs who are a danger to society, but homeless. Except for the Dukester. He’s still dangerous.

Clearly, the homeless reference was his prisoner of war time. But the fact he is nestled amongst oil tycoons & war profiteers now, does not mean is not grossly out of touch with the average American. Just something he can ponder over next time he takes a 9 vehicle motorcade to the local Starbucks for coffee.
13* homes between 2 republican candidates.
Does that make them homely?
What’s the problem?
* Please note the McCains actually own a bunch more income properties beyond the 9 properties that are their own living quarters.
They just don’t want to talk about them, or disclose all the truth. This from the *Straight Talk Express* people. HA! They are going to have to change the name of the bus to the *Refuse to Disclose Express*.

The only time Johnny boy is “homeless” is when he refuses to eat Cindy Lou’s pussy.
Then she kicks him to the curb until he comes around.

Bill Hussein O’Reilly – I never know what you’re going to say next or when you’re going to say it.
Crude as it may sound, I think Bill Hussein O’Reilly is correct.
The Old Coot married money and there has to be a price or Cindy could cut him off and McCain is back to flying Southwest like the rest of us poe folk.

I strongly object to Romney’s characterization of Americans who don’t have a net worth of $100 million as suffering from “envy.”
I am certainly not a millionaire but I am a successful Realtor and I own my own home and I drive a nice car. I am in no way even remotely envious of either McCain or Romney.
In fact, I find them grotesque and elitists.
Romney should be very careful before he plays the class card. Americans are suffering today, as real wages drop and the price for everything from gas, to food, to clothing, soars. People like Romney (and McCain) are a reminder of the failed policies of the Bush administration.
